Catherine Sohor, daughter of Mary Rita and Roman Sohor of Old Bridge, has been awarded a bachelor of arts degree in political science from William Paterson University, Wayne. Prior to commencement, she was recognized with the Distinguished Senior Award, the Greek Woman of the Year Award, the L.E.A.D (Leadership, Excellence and Dedication) Award, a “Who’s Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities” Award, the Greek Senate Presidential Award and the Theta Phi Alpha National Sorority Senior Service Award. She was also a member of Order of Omega, the honor society for fraternity and sorority members, and Pi Sigma Alpha, the national political science honor society. In the fall she will attend graduate school at Boston University, where she will pursue a master of education degree in policy, planning and administration with a specialization in higher education.
Amanda Wilson of Old Bridge recently graduated summa cum laude from The College of New Jersey, Ewing, where she was awarded a bachelor of science degree in elementary education, which led to her teacher certification. A dean’s list student, she is a member of Kappa Delta Pi, the education honor society; Psi Chi, the psychology honor society; and the Golden Key International Honor Society. She is a 2001 graduate of Old Bridge High School.
Sarah Seminski of Sayreville has been awarded a bachelor of fine arts degree in theatre studies, cum laude, from Boston University.
