Family YMCA
The South Brunswick YMCA is now taking registration for their pre-school enrichment programs, which begin the week of Sept. 5 and run through Nov. 12. Finger painting: For toddlers aged 2 to 3, called "Let’s Get Messy," which allows children and their parents to get messy with finger paints, colored foam, play dough and watercolors.
Art activities: For children 3 years and older, there’s "I’m Moving Up," which gives parents and their children the chance to enjoy two art activities and a story related to an age-appropriate theme each class.
Science: "Mini-Scientists" is for children ages 4 to 6. Children will learn basic science concepts through art experiences and participate in hands-on science investigation.
The YMCA will be taking registration for their 10-week fall sessions starting Aug. 15 for facility members and open registration to begin on Aug. 22. Additional programs including swum lessons, youth sports, cheerleading, dance and gymnastics will also be offered. Babysitting course: The American Red Cross Babysitter Certification course runs from Sept. 6 through Nov. 12.
Youth volleyball: For first- and second-graders will be offered on Wednesdays from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Community Education
Golf class: South Brunswick Community Education’s School will offer golf, "From Tee to Green" classes at the Raritan Golf Range, 101 Orlando Drive, Raritan, beginning Sept. 18. Beginner golfers can learn the basics while those with experience can improve their skills. Will work with golf teaching professionals with more than 20 years experience, including LPGA and PGA tour professionals. Sessions will be held for six Sundays beginning Sept. 18, choose from a 4:30 p.m. or 5:30 p.m. lesson. Tuition is $99. For more information, call Nancy Kinal at (732) 297-7800, ext. 3148.
