LETTERS: It’s time to say enough in Trenton

To the editor:

We have an opportunity this November; it lies in our ability as voters to say, "enough is enough." The special interest groups, lobbyists and corrupt officials have looked out for themselves long enough.
Jon Corzine can’t do the job. He is too closely connected to the sources of our state’s problems. In my opinion, he owes too many favors and the people and groups that he owes these favors to would be calling all the shots. Once again the special interest groups would benefit at our expense.
Doug Forrester will look at our state government like it should be looked at, as a business. And as with any business, programs and initiatives need to be evaluated often and managers and department heads must be held accountable for attaining departmental and budget goals within their areas. Programs not accomplishing what they have been put in place to do should be eliminated and that money should be used elsewhere or returned to the taxpayers.
Doug Forrester is the man who will look to cut expenses and run a lean and efficient government that in turn will take a huge burden off of the people of this state. We the taxpayers have been footing the bill for all of the excess and waste brought on by corrupt, manipulative practices of past governing bodies long enough.
Vote in November. Let it be a vote for change. Vote for Doug Forrester, the right man to turn this state around.
