Sadie J. Darago Nastus

Mrs. Nastus, 91, of North Brunswick, died Sept. 26 at Elms of Cranbury Nursing Home. Born in Sand Hills, she resided in North Brunswick the past 75 years. She was a retired secretary at The Grant Plumbing Supply Company, North Brunswick, where she had been employed 23 years. She was a communicant of St. Mary of Mount Virgin Church, New Brunswick. She was a member of the North Brunswick Pioneers, and AARP. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph E. Nastus in 1967; two brothers, Vincent and Mathew Darago; and a sister, Rose Lefebvre. She is survived by two sons, Anthony Nastus of Queenstown, Md., and Joseph C. Nastus of North Brunswick; a daughter, Joanne Canastra of Atlanta; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Sept. 29 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church. Interment will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery, New Brunswick. Stanley W. “Bill” Wasylyk

Mr. Wasylyk, of East Brunswick, died Sept. 26 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Fishkin Brothers, Perth Amboy, where he worked for 30 years. Surviving are his wife, Jean Jasinski Wasylyk; three sons, Dean Wasylyk of Edison, Donald Wasylyk of East Brunswick and Gary Wasylyk of South Brunswick; and two grandchildren. Private services were under the direction of Selover Funeral Home, North Brunswick.

Edward R. Dobrzynski

Mr. Dobrzynski, 79, of East Brunswick, formerly of South River, died Sept. 21 at home. Prior to his retirement in 1995, he was employed for 10 years by Tamarack Golf Course, East Brunswick. Before that, he worked as a truck driver for Herman Forwarding, South Brunswick. His wife, Helen Platford Dobrzynski, died in 1996. Surviving are a son, William Dobrzynski of East Brunswick; a daughter, Debra A. Myers of Cedar Grove; a brother, Benjamin Dobrzynski of East Brunswick; his caretaker, Shirley Dickson; and four grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Bartholomew’s Church, East Brunswick. Interment was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, East Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to the East Brunswick Rescue Squad, 346 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick, NJ 08816.

Sophie Siarniak Zonkowski

Mrs. Zonkowski, 87, formerly of Sayreville, died Sept. 26 in Lutheran Home, Moorestown. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a film inspector with E.I. DuPont Photo Products Division, Parlin section of Sayreville. Before that, she was a seamstress at Kozak Coat Co., South River. Her husband, John, died in 1952. Surviving are two daughters, Barbara Beyer of Southampton and Phyllis Palfy of North Brunswick; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Sayreville. Interment was in the church cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the local chapter of the American Diabetes Association.
