LETTERS: Still impressed with Monroe

To the editor:

When I moved to Monroe, I was impressed by all the town had to offer. And now, years later I am still impressed. The school system is outstanding. The crime rate is low. The surroundings are still beautiful thanks to a sensible master plan. Even the taxes are stable. You’d be hard-pressed to find these qualities in other municipalities — in New Jersey and most other states.
Much of the credit goes to our mayor and council. It’s clear that Monroe is such a great place to live because of their leadership and hard work. They have made Monroe "family friendly." It’s why I chose to move here and why I plan to stay. And it’s why I’m going to help re-elect Council members Joanne Connolly, Hank Miller and Jerry Tamburro on Nov. 8.
