To the editor:
When I moved to Monroe, I was impressed by all the town had to offer. And now, years later I am still impressed. The school system is outstanding. The crime rate is low. The surroundings are still beautiful thanks to a sensible master plan. Even the taxes are stable. You’d be hard-pressed to find these qualities in other municipalities in New Jersey and most other states.
Much of the credit goes to our mayor and council. It’s clear that Monroe is such a great place to live because of their leadership and hard work. They have made Monroe "family friendly." It’s why I chose to move here and why I plan to stay. And it’s why I’m going to help re-elect Council members Joanne Connolly, Hank Miller and Jerry Tamburro on Nov. 8.
