Evelyn Ann O’Neill

Mrs. O’Neill, 81, of Middletown, died Oct. 7 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in Jersey City, she resided in Long Island, N.Y., prior to moving to Middletown several years ago. She was a homemaker. She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, New Monmouth section of Middletown, where she was also a member of the Catholic Daughters of America. She was a member of the Little Silver Woman’s Club, Holmdel 50/50 Club. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Edward W. O’Neill Sr.; a daughter, Susan O’Neill of Tinton Falls; five sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis and Lynn O’Neill of Tinton Falls, Robert and Diane O’Neill of Colts Neck, Edward and Kris O’Neill Jr. of Red Bank, Brian and Cindy O’Neill of Plantation, Fla., and Shawn and Karen O’Neill of Middletown; two sisters, Rita Smith of Forked River, and Eileen Hand of Manning, S.C.; and 11 grandchildren. Visitation will be Oct. 12 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown. A funeral gathering will be Oct. 13 at 8:45 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by a funeral liturgy at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church. Entombment will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Middletown.

Grace Marie McCullough

Ms. McCullough, 87, of Freehold, died Oct. 8 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. She was born in Jersey City and had lived in Hasbrouck Heights and Whiting before moving to Freehold in 1997. Ms. McCullough was predeceased by five siblings, William Jr., Frederick, Elizabeth, Francis and Thomas McCullough. She is survived by a brother, Richard Edward McCullough of Toms River; and three sisters, Margaret Annette Mundorf of Hampstead, N.C., Rosemary Maxcy of Hazlet, and Joan Helen Berner of Kuna, Idaho. A funeral liturgy will be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church, Freehold, Wednesday at 10 a.m., followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.

Jane B. Sihler

Mrs. Sihler, 80, of Freehold, died Oct. 9 at her home. Born in South Amboy, she had lived there for many years before moving to Freehold 59 years ago. Before her retirement, Mrs. Sihler was a special education teacher at High Point School, Marlboro, for many years. Prior to her teaching career, she was a registered nurse. She was a graduate of Kean College, Union, and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Freehold. Mrs. Sihler is survived by her husband, Adolph Sihler; a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Ann Jaedicke of Fairfax, Va.; three daughters and a son-in-law, Gail Fivek of Brick, Nancy and Dr. Wayne Mück of Millstone, and Lorraine Stitcher of Howell; a brother, James Burkard of Arlington, Texas; a sister, Nancy James of Hackettstown; and two grandchildren. Visiting will be held Wednesday 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the Freeman Funeral Home, 47 E. Main St., Freehold. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home Thursday at 1 p.m., followed by interment at Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold Township. Edward F. Uricks

Mr. Uricks, 77, of Monroe, died Oct. 9 at Cranbury Center, Monroe. He was born in Bergenfield and had lived in Freehold before moving to Monroe in 1991. Mr. Uricks was a procurement analyst at Fort Monmouth before his retirement. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church; a member of Freehold Council No. 1672 Knights of Columbus, and American Legion Post No. 54, all of Freehold, and the Sunrise Rod and Gun Club. Mr. Uricks is survived by his wife, Evelyn Barker Uricks; two sons, Edward Uricks Jr. of Jackson and Gerard Uricks of Howell; a daughter, Kathleen M. Bunton of Freehold; a brother, Julian Uricks of Somers Point; and six grandchildren. Visiting will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center St., Freehold, Wednesday 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The funeral liturgy will be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church Thursday at 10 a.m., followed by interment at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arnytown, Burlington County.

Betty Miller Scott

Mrs. Scott, 80, of Sayreville, died Sept. 18 at her daughter’s home in the Morganville section of Marlboro. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by R&P Dress Factory, South River. Her husband, James Joseph Scott, died in 1984. Surviving are two daughters, Kathryn D’Amato of Old Bridge and Gail Spade of Morganville; a son, Vaughn Scott of Pocono Lake, Pa.; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Services were held at Rezem Funeral Home, East Brunswick. Interment was in Washington Monumental Cemetery, South River. Mary M. MacNeely

Mrs. MacNeely, 79, of Freehold, died Sept. 24 at home. Born in Valley View, Pa., she had lived in Milltown and in Lykens, Pa., before moving to Freehold 17 years ago. Prior to retiring 30 years ago, she was a factory worker for the Quaker Oats Co., New Brunswick, for 30 years. While at Quaker Oats, she was the secretary for the AFL-CIO for four years. She was a communicant of the Reformed Church of Freehold, where she had also belonged to the consistory, choir, Sunshine Committee and women’s group. In addition, she was a former member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Milltown. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Carol Lynne and Henry Kozlowski of Freehold Township; three sisters, Helen Bingaman and Shirley Erdman, both of Lykens, and Ellen Bryan of Hegins, Pa.; and two granddaughters, Brianne and Katelynn Kozlowski, both of Freehold Township. Funeral services were held at the Reformed Church of Freehold, with Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold, in charge of arrangements. Mary Louise Druzbik

Mrs. Druzbik, 78, of Colts Neck, died Sept. 28 at her home. She was born in Bayonne and had lived for many years in Matawan. Mrs. Druzbik retired with her husband, Michael, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II, to Colts Neck in 1992. She was predeceased by her husband, Michael Druzbik; a brother, Peter Porubsky; and two sisters, Peggy Cymerman and Doris Noury. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis and Marianne Druzbik and Darrin and Tonia Druzbik; three daughters and a son-in-law, Dorothy Lopapa, Deanna and Daniel DiDonenico, and Deborah Drake; a brother, Michael Porubsky; a sister-in-law, Carol Hrycenko; a brother-in-law, John Druzbik; and six grandchildren. The funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Gabriel’s Historic Church, Route 520, Marlboro, followed by interment at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arnytown. Timothy J.L. Parrish

Mr. Parrish, 40, of Freehold, died Sept. 28 in Freehold. He was born in Freehold and was a lifelong resident. Mr. Parrish was a teacher at the New Horizons in Autism School, Freehold. He had served in the U.S. Marine Corps. Surviving are his mother, Muslimah Suluki of College Park, Ga.; four sons, Timothy, Tahir, Malik and Dariq Parrish; two daughters, Timisha and Daa’Imah Parrish; four brothers, Robert Parrish Jr., Anthony Parrish, and Amin and Hanif Suluki; and a sister, Salimah Suluki. Funeral services were held at Bethel A.M.E. Church, Freehold. The Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold, was in charge of arrangements.
