Benefit wrestling show set

JACKSON — Deputy Mayor Mike Kafton is teaming up with Six Flags Great Adventure and the East Coast Professional Wrestling association to raise money to help those families who were forced to flee New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina.

“We want everybody to come out to Great Adventure on Oct. 28 and help those families who were left with nothing after Hurricane Katrina ravaged their homes. Not only will people have the opportunity to experience all the events in the park and get spooked at Fright Fest, but they will also have the chance to see Superfly Jimmy Snuka and friends from East Coast Professional Wrestling as they provide a two hour-slug fest,” Kafton said.

Snuka, a world renowned heavyweight champion, is just one of the professional wrestlers who will be in attendance. Other stars like Johnny Thunder, Lucky Zaccone, Gino Caruso, Andrew Anderson, Jay Santana, Crazy Ivan and the Owens Brothers will join the Superfly for an unforgettable night.

“I would like to thank Great Adven-ture which has so generously donated 1,100 tickets worth over $48,000 in addition to the use of their theatre for this event,” Kafton said.

“I would also like to express my gratitude to everybody at East Coast Profes-sional Wrestling for donating their time and effort raising money for these families. All proceeds are tax deductible and will be donated to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund,” he added.

Ticket prices are $35 which includes entry to Great Adventure and the wrestling match and $25 for season ticket holders which will allow them entry to the wrestling match. Tickets can be purchased at the following locations in Jackson: Glory’s Market, West Commo-dore Boulevard, George Realty 2200 W. County Line Road, and the White Butterfly, 200 N. County Line Road.
