Carolyn Bender, co-president of the PTO, is looking for organizations and individuals to participate in this evening of the community coming together. She explained that, "the meaning of harumbee is just that, the community coming together, and in this instance it will be for a night of multi-cultural events and festivities to create a broader understanding of who we are and where we all come from. We welcome representatives from around the globe who have something positive to offer children in our community."
Entertainers are asked for performances of no more than 10 minutes. Tables will be available for educators and those willing to conduct educational crafts at no charge. For those interested in selling crafts, tables will be available for $10. Ethnic food vendors may reserve a table for $25.
Individuals or organizations interested in participating in this event should call Ms. Bender at 466-3051 or via email at [email protected] no later than Oct. 28. Space is limited.
