Onmisoul, a Delaware-based rock-pop band, will appear in concert this Saturday night in the performing arts center of Hopewell Valley Central High School.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit the victims of Hurricane Katrina.
Omnisoul’s keyboardist is Jamie Orlando, a 1999 Central High School graduate.
Omnisoul’s music has been featured on CBS-TV’s "Joan of Arcadia" and the soundtrack of "Fantastic Four," a film based on the comic book series released last summer.
Critics have compared Ominsoul’s sound to that of the Dave Matthews Band, John Mayer and Coldplay. The band recently signed a record deal with the Wind-Up label. A debut album is now in production.
Saturday’s show at Hopewell Valley Central High School will begin at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10; $5 for students with identification. The show is open to the public.
Advance ticket sales are being handled through the school’s vice-principal’s office.
The high school is on the northern side of Pennington-Titusville Road, about a quarter-mile west of state Route 31.
Jamie Orlando began playing music with songwriter Derek Fuhrmann in 2000, while the two were students at the University of Delaware.
Two years later, the five-man Omnisoul band was performing together.
