WEST WINDSOR Free gunlocks will be distributed at Dick’s Sporting Goods at Nassau Park shopping center Friday as part of a firearms safety education program by Project ChildSafe.
Project ChildSafe and the West Windsor Police Department will hand out educational brochures, children’s safety pledges, badges and bookmarks.
Project ChildSafe, created and managed by the National Shooting Sports Foundation, is funded through the U.S. Department of Justice. The group’s goal in reaching out to gun owners, parents and neighbors is to encourage all to educate their children about firearm safety.
