Breast cancer talk: In observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, University Medical Center at Princeton’s Community Education and Outreach Program will offer a free educational session on the risk factors associated with breast cancer, as well as tips for prevention of the disease at the Lawrence Library Headquarters Branch of the Mercer County Library System, 2751 Brunswick Pike.
The program begins at 7 p.m.

Author talk: Ann Crittenden, author of "The Price of Motherhood," will be the featured speaker at the Friends of the YWCA Princeton’s annual luncheon from 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Cherry Valley Country Club in Montgomery.
The YWCA Princeton Friends’ Luncheon is open to the public. Luncheon cost is $35 for a Friends member and $40 for a non-member.

Halloween parade: The annual Lawrence Library Halloween preschool parade will be held at the Lawrence Library Headquarters Branch of the Mercer County Library System at 10:30 a.m. Children through age 6 and adults are invited to come in costume. The parade through the library will include trick-or-treating followed by a performance by Kids’ Music Round of Pennington, as well as a craft and refreshments.

Craft show: Energetic Citizens Helping Others (ECHO) will sponsor an annual fundraiser from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at Covenant Presbyterian Church 471 Parkway Ave., Trenton.
Featured sale items will be handicrafts, baked goods and books.

Colonial Lake clean up: The township will sponsor a clean-up day at Colonial Lake from 2 to 6 p.m.

Halloween party: The township Office on Aging welcomes the community to attend the Halloween Party, from 6-9 p.m. at the Lawrence Senior Center, 30 Darrah Lane East.

Pumpkin Festival: Lord & Taylor will host a pumpkin festival from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the department store located in the Quaker Bridge Mall.
The event includes Halloween-inspired storied for kids and pumpkin painting in the children’s department.
Sunday
Festival of the town: The Presbyterian Church of Lawrenceville, 2688 Main St. will hold a "Festival of the Town" to celebrate the history of Lawrenceville.
All are welcome to attend. The free event begins with a Festival Worship Service at 10 a.m. and includes a convocation and catered lunch at 11:15 a.m.
A children’s program available during both events. Come celebrate the rich history of the Township of Lawrence, founded in1697, and the historic Village of Lawrenceville. During the convocation in the church’s Fellowship Center participants may browse the displays, chat with history buffs and long-time residents, and enjoy food provided by several downtown Lawrenceville eateries.

Firehouse parade: Lawrenceville Volunteer Fire Co. invites goblins and ghouls of all ages to a Halloween parade and costume at 5:45 p.m. This is a free family event for the local students and school children. The parade will start at the Lawrenceville Elementary School. The contest begins immediately after the parade at the firehouse at 64 Phillips Ave., located on the corner of Gordon Avenue. Medicare drug plan talk: NAMI Mercer NJ will present a free educational programs on the new Medicare prescription plan, at 7 p.m. at the NAMI Center of Mercer County, 3371 Brunswick Pike, Suite 124, located in the Lawrence Commons next to the Mercer Mall. Call (609) 799-8994 for directions.
