Walter P. Lynch
Mr. Lynch, 28, of Jackson, died Oct. 23 from injuries received in a car accident. Born in Red Bank, he had lived most of his life in Middletown before moving to Jackson one year ago. A 1996 graduate of Middletown High School North, Mr. Lynch was a driver for Puglisi Egg Farms, Howell. Surviving are a daughter, Kiley Rose Lynch of Middletown; his parents, Walter and Denise Lynch of Jackson; and a sister and brother, Tracy Ann Lynch and Joseph E. Lynch, both of Jackson. A funeral gathering will be held Oct. 27 at 9:30 a.m. at the John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, 115 Tindall Road, Middletown, followed by a funeral liturgy at 10:15 a.m. at St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church, Keansburg. Burial will take place at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown.
Maria Aimee Kovacs
Mrs. Kovacs, 62, of Colts Neck, died Oct. 20 at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. Born in Laredo, Texas, in 1943, she had lived in West Long Branch before moving to Colts Neck. Mrs. Kovacs graduated from the University of Texas with a bachelor of science degree in physical education, and served as a health and physical education teacher at Neptune Township High School during the 1960s. She then attended Friends International Christian University, California, and received a master’s degree in biblical counseling and later received a doctor of philosophy degree in religious studies. She was founder and pastor of the Bride of Jesus Christ Church, Howell. She also founded Kingdom Glory International and oversaw churches in Africa, Argentina, India, Brazil and Paraguay. She also authored a book titled “Dancing into the Anointing: Touching the Heart of God Through Dance.” Mrs. Kovacs is survived by her husband, James P. Kovacs; four sons, James P. Kovacs Jr., Glenn Kovacs, Wayne Kovacs and Brandon Kovacs; three daughters; Jamie Routhier, Donna Golden and Lara Whitehead; a daughter-in-law, Katherine Kovacs; and seven grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Monmouth Worship Center, Marlboro, followed by interment at the Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent section of Manalapan. The Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold, was in charge of arrangements.
Sylvia A. Predale
Mrs. Predale, 75, of Colts Neck, died Oct. 4 at JFK Medical Center, Edison. Born in Allentown, Pa., she had lived in Newark and Atlantic Highlands before moving to Colts Neck in 1965. Mrs. Predale was a 1952 graduate of Skidmore College, Saratoga Springs, N.Y. She was a member of the Colts Neck Reformed Church and the Colts Neck Senior Citizens as well as treasurer for Atlantic Cemetery, Colts Neck. She was also a knitting and crocheting instructor at the Manalapan Senior Center for many years. Mrs. Predale was predeceased by a son, Robert, in 1986. She is survived by her husband, Vito Predale; two sons and daughters-in-law, John and Nancy Predale of Blairstown, and Thomas and Pam Predale of Howell; a daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Bruce Smith of Kentucky; two brothers, William Heberling of West Caldwell and John Heberling of Downey, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A funeral service was held at the Colts Neck Reformed Church, followed by interment at Atlantic Cemetery, Colts Neck. The Freeman Funeral Home, Freehold, was in charge of arrangements. Stuart Reimer
Mr. Reimer, 69, of Lakewood, died Oct. 5 at Kimball Medical Center, Lakewood. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he had lived in Marlboro before moving to the Fairways at Lake Ridge in 1997. A 1953 graduate of Erasmus Hall High School, Brooklyn, he graduated in 1958 from Baruch College, City University of New York. He spent six years in the National Guard Reserve, from which he was honorably discharged in 1964. He began his career in textiles in 1959, retiring in 1994 as executive vice president of Tandler Textile Inc., an international fabric company based in New York City. He was captain of the bocce team at the Fairways and also ran its travel club for three years. Mr. Reimer was predeceased by his first wife, Sheila, in 1994. Surviving are his wife of eight years, Barbara; a son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Lisa Reimer; a daughter and son-in-law, Wendy Reimer and Andrew Sherman; three stepchildren and their spouses, Lori and Brad Schur, Debra and Gary Feldman, and Marc and Wendy Morgenbesser; a brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Marsha Reimer; 14 grandchildren; a niece and a nephew. A funeral service was held at Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, Manalapan, followed by interment at Baron Hirsch Cemetery, Staten Island, N.Y. Mildred Christina Moran
Mrs. Moran, 80, of Howell, died Oct. 7 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Manhattan, N.Y., she had lived in Staten Island, N.Y., and Manchester before moving to Howell a year ago. Mrs. Moran was secretarial supervisor at IBJ Schroeder Bank and Trust, New York, for 16 years before retiring in 1991. She was a former member of Christ Lutheran Church, Staten Island. She is survived by her husband, Joseph; a son, Andrew Moran, and his partner, Max Marty Goff, of Howell; a daughter and son-in-law, Christina and Martin Coyle of Freehold; a sister and brother-in-law, Alice and Jim MacDonald of Las Vegas; one granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service was held at the Freeman Funeral Home, Freehold, followed by interment at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arnytown, Burlington County.
Michael Yacovelli
Mr. Yacovelli, 72, of Hazlet, died Oct. 8 at home. Born in Newark, he resided there prior to moving to Hazlet 40 years ago. He was a carpenter at Atlantic Realty & Development, Woodbridge. He was a communicant of St. Benedict’s Roman Catholic Church, Holmdel. He is survived by his wife, Ann Gazzo Yacovelli of Hazlet; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Michael and Cindy Yacovelli, and Larry Yacovelli, all of Hazlet; two daughters, Debbie Vernon of Lakewood, and Yvonne Yacovelli of Hazlet; tow sisters, Lucy Kuebler of Florida, and Jeannette DiVizo of Edison; seven grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. Arrangements were by Day Funeral Home, Keyport.
Regina Billingsley
Ms. Billingsley, 48, of Vineland, died Oct. 9 at home. She was born in Neptune Township and had lived in Freehold before moving to Vineland. She was predeceased by her parents, Willie C. and Evelyn Billingsley. Surviving are her children, Ericka Billingsley, Lauren Ashley White and Daniel Billingsley; two sisters, Flossie DeBraux of Atlantic City and Annie Lois Billingsley of Freehold; five brothers, Jerry Wilson of Asbury Park, Willie Junior Billingsley of Howell, Benjamin Billingsley of Lakewood, Willie Frank Billingsley of Brick, and Leo Billingsley of Camden; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. A funeral service was held at the Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold.
