   MANSFIELD — Aldo J. Gabaccia, 90, died Monday at Virtua Memorial Hospital in Mount Holly.
   Born in Torino, Italy, he grew up in Woodcliff Lake. He and his wife lived in River Vale for 32 years and moved to The Homestead at Mansfield in 1985.
   He graduated from Park Ridge High School and from the Newark College of Engineering in 1938 with a bachelor’s degree in engineering. His first job was at The Celanese Corporation in New York City where he met his wife, Gertrude. He was a civil engineer, working for many engineering firms, and most recently as a federal civil servant for the GSA in New York City.
   He was a veteran of World War II, where he served as a major in the U.S. Army Air Corps, 325th Fighter Group, 319th Fighter Squadron in the European and North African Campaigns. He was a past member of the Elks in Bergen County and enjoyed playing cards, golf, and bowling.
   Son of the late Dominic and Teresa Beltrami Gabaccia, he is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Gertrude Wuensch Gabaccia of Columbus; two daughters and sons-in-law, Leonora and Christian Davidson of Fair Haven, and Barbara and Ronald Fuhrhop of Orchard Park, N.Y.; four grandchildren, August and his wife Natalie Zilincar IV, Jenna Zilincar, Keith Fuhrhop, and Suzanne Fuhrhop; a sister, Felicita Salto of Westwood; a brother-in-law and his wife, Edmund and Mary Wuensch of Paramus; and four nieces.
   Funeral service will be held 1 p.m. today, Thursday, at Huber-Moore Funeral Home, 517 Farnsworth Ave., Bordentown, with interment to follow at the Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in North Hanover.

Jacknowitz
   NORTH HANOVER — Thomas J. Jacknowitz, 62, died Saturday at St. Francis Medical Center in Trenton.
   Born in Trenton, he was a resident of Jacobstown since 1974. Mr. Jacknowitz was the owner of Economy Motors in Cookstown which he founded in 1971 and also USA Towing which he founded in 1988. He was a member of the Church of the Assumption in New Egypt, the Knights of Columbus, the Bordentown Elks and the Fossils Car Club in Jackson.
   He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Fran (nee Kamenicky) Jacknowitz; a daughter and son-in-law, Joanne and Kurt Stark of Springfield Township; a son, Thomas Jacknowitz Jr., also of Springfield Township; three grandchildren, Joshua, Hannah and Hayley Stark, all of Springfield Township; a brother and sister-in-law, John and Kathleen Jacknowitz of Hamilton; and a nephew, Philip Jacknowitz of Hamilton.
   Mass of Christian Burial was scheduled to be held Wednesday, Nov. 2 at the Church of the Assumption, 76 Evergreen Road, New Egypt, with Father Joseph Farrell officiating.
   Interment was in Assumption Cemetery in New Egypt.
Clara A. Pellicore
   FLORENCE — Clara A. Pellicore (nee Lombardozzi), 76, of Florence, died on Wednesday, Oct. 26, at Burlington Woods Convalescent Center.
   Born in Florence, she was a lifelong resident. Ms.Pellicore retired in 1991 as a pillow stuffer with Miro Foam Co. in Burlington after 18 years service. She was a member of St. Clare’s Church and a former member of the Marconi Italian Lodge ladies auxiliary, both in Florence.
   Wife of the late Frank L. Pellicore, and sister of the late Vivian Patriarca and Yolanda Stefanoni, she is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Frank, Jr. and Theresa Pellicore of Kingwood, Texas; and a daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Fred Rowley of Roebling. Also three sisters, Laura DeFlece and Albina Esaia, both of Florence and Katherine (Kay) Schiff of Hedding; four grandchildren, Mark and Keving Pellicore and Steven and Stacey Rowley and a great-grandson, Tyler Pellicore and many nieces and many nieces and nephews.
   Mass of Christian Burial was held on Monday at St. Clare’s Church. Rev. Felix Venza officiated. Interment was in the Calvary Cemetery in Florence.
   Contributions in Ms. Pellicore’s memory may be sent to the Alzheimer’s Association of So. Jersey, 11000 Lincoln Drive, West, Marlton NJ 08053.
Anna K. Nurko
   NORTH HANOVER — Anna K. Nurko, 85, died Tuesday, Oct. 25 at the University Medical Center at Princeton surrounded by her loving family.
   Born in Coatesville, Pa., she previously resided in Plainsboro, then in Millstone Township from 1939 to 1990 on the family farm, and the past 16 years in Jacobstown. She owned and operated Nurko Farms in Millstone where she worked along with her husband, George H. Nurko, and other family members for many years.
   Following her husband’s death she worked for Agway in Hightstown, and then the East Windsor school system. After her retirement she became a full-time mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
   She was a member of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity in Trenton, a member of the Sisterhood of Holy Trinity, the Pythian Sisters, past president of the Millstone PTA, the Young at Heart Senior Citizens of Cookstown, the Elite 48 of Bordentown, and in later years she attended the Plumsted Presbyterian Church where she volunteered her time and talent. She loved bingo, travel, dinner theatres, Atlantic City, and she will be remembered for being a great cook.
   She was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary Krukowski, and sister of the late Elias, Charles, Michael Krukowski and Estelle Hoffman. She is survived by her son, William M. Nurko and his wife Clara of Millstone; three daughters, Georgia N. Poinsett and her husband David of Allentown, Mary M. Nurko of Blue Hill, Maine, and Paulinea Johnson and her husband Roy of Jacobstown; her grandchildren, Allan and Jennifer McIntosh of Asheville, N.C., Christina and Richard Esandrio of Monroe, Jennifer Poinsett of Lambertville, Jessica and Jamie Mladenoff of Dillsburg, Pa., Patricia and Kevin Hulick of Hamilton, Leslie Johnson and her fiance Daniel Longyhore of Wilmington, Dela., and Hope Johnson of Allentown, Pa.; her great-grandchildren Georgianna and Stefania Jo Mladenoff, Graciella Esandrio, and Jacob and Haley Bay McIntosh; two brothers-in-law; three sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews. Anna is also survived by a dear friend, Ruthann Hensley, and many other friends.
   The Divine Liturgy was served Monday at the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity, 824 Adeline St., Trenton. Burial followed in Holy Trinity Cemetery in Hamilton.
   Panachyda services were conducted Sunday at the funeral home.

Edward Fleming
   HAMILTON — Edward Fleming Sr., 79, died Tuesday, Oct. 25 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton.
   Born in Trenton, he was a lifelong area resident.
   He retired in 1989 as a foreman with the State of New Jersey Department of Education, and served in the U.S. Army during World War II and attended St. Hedwig’s Church.
   Son of the late James and Mary Durkalski Fleming, and brother of the late James, John, Joseph, and Francis Fleming and Mary Steinetz, and Helen Holzman; Edward is survived by his wife of 58 years, Stella Suchocki Fleming; sons, Edward and wife Janice Fleming Jr. of California, and Bob and wife Kathy Fleming of Bordentown; granddaughters, Melissa Bunting of Toms River and Jennifer and Tricia Fleming, both of Robbinsville; grandson, Brian Fleming of Delran; great-grandson, Danny Bunting; sisters-in-law, Florence Fleming, Eleanor Fleming, Sophie Hrabowski and Lillian Szwedo; a niece and her husband, Beverly and Rich Tucci; and several other nieces and nephews.
   Funeral services were held Saturday from the Kingston & Kemp Funeral Home, 260 White Horse Ave., Hamilton.
   Mass of Christian Burial was held from the St. Hedwig’s Church, and entombment followed in the Greenwood Cemetery Mausoleum in Hamilton.
   Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and wake services will be held.
Ann Brown
   EWING — Ann Brown, 85, died Tuesday, Oct. 25 at the Greenwood House.
   Born in Lithuania, Mrs. Brown was a Trenton area resident most of her life and was a secretary at the Trenton Psychiatric Hospital for many years before retiring. She was a former resident of Trent Center West and was a participant in its activities.
   Mrs. Brown enjoyed to travel, especially to Thailand, and was active in the local Thai community. Daughter of the late Cantor Jacob and Sadie Baron, sister of the late Ruth Klatzkie, Sidney Baron and Dr. Phillip Baron and wife of the late Saul Brown, surviving are two sons and a daughter-in-law, David and Suttida Brown of Bordentown and Daniel Brown of Belmont, Calif.; two brothers, Marvin Baron and Rabbi Gershon Baron; a sister, Marion Pritsky; and two grandchildren, Nattapol and Puttachai.
   Funeral services were Sunday at Orland’s Ewing Memorial Chapel, 1534 Pennington Road, Ewing Township.
   Burial followed at Congregation People of Truth Cemetery, Hamilton Township.
   The family respectfully requests memorial contributions be offered to the American Cancer Society.
Samuel Morris

Waln
   HAMILTON — Samuel Morris Waln, 93, passed away Monday, Oct. 24 at his home.
   A lifetime resident of Sawmill Road in Hamilton Township, Mr. Waln graduated from Trenton High School and attended Rider College.
   A member of the Crosswicks Friends Meeting, Mr. Waln was a poultry farmer. He was a director for the New Jersey Association for the Insurance of Houses and Other Buildings in Crosswicks, a real estate broker and a member of the Hamilton Township Historical Society, where he was actively involved in the restoration of the John Abbott House. Mr. Waln was also a member of the New Jersey Farm Bureau and a member of the Elks.
   Son of the late Nicholas and Edna Burk Waln, Mr. Waln was predeceased by his wife of 52 years, Alice Black Waln, as well as three brothers; he is survived by his three daughters and their husbands, Jane and James Rockhold of Port Orange, Fla., Barbara and Charles Laughlin of Athens, Ga. and Prudence and Alfred Gaskill of Bolivia, N.C.; six grandchildren, Holly Jeffries of Germantown, Md., Amy Rockhold of Atlanta, Ga., Shannon Laughlin of Fort Collins, Colo., Charles Laughlin of Athens, Ga., Nathan Smith of Fieldsboro, and Rebecca Stanley of Bolivia, N.C.; and five great-grandchildren, Erik, Cassidy and Skylar Jeffries and Hugh and Samuel Laughlin.
   Services in the Quaker tradition was held Saturday at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St., Allentown.
   Interment followed in North Crosswicks Cemetery, Hamilton.

Gerald Wayne

Foulks
   Gerald "Jerry" Wayne Foulks, 48, died on Sept. 28 at Moffit Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida with his family at his bedside.
   He was born and raised in Florence and a graduate of Florence Memorial High School. He was also a graduate of Lyons Institute. He and his family lived in Burlington City and then Moorestown before he moved to Orlando last year.
   Son of Barbara Edsall Foulks and the late Gerald John Foulks, Mr. Foulks is survived by his son, Andrew, his daughter, Rebecca, and wife Susan Horner Foulks. He is brother to Cindy Egeli and Michelle Clark and her husband Norman. Uncle to Danielle Fatigate and her husband Tony Fatigate, Maranda Griffin and her husband Thomas Griffin, John Egeli, Michael Egeli, Jennifer Niver, Brian Niver, and Matthew Niver. He is the grandson of the late Hazel and Joseph Foulks, of Florence and Clarence and Minnie Edsall, of Oklahoma. Great Uncle to Kyle Niver and Caleb and Noah Griffin.
   He was a longtime member of the Florence Fire Company and Emergency Squad; Neptune Fire Company and Endeavor Rescue Squad of Burlington; and the Lenola Fire Company and Emergency Squad in Moorestown. His dedication to the community and participation in the wonderful work done by these companies was the second joy of his life. His first joy was his family. He was also a soccer coach for the Moorestown Recreation Department from 1992-1996.
   A Celebration of Life Memorial Service and reception will be held on Nov. 5 at 2 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church, 300 Mill Street, Burlington, New Jersey. All are invited to come and join the family to celebrate Jerry’s contributions in life and to share their memories of how he touched their lives. Interment will be held on Monday, Nov. 7 at 10 a.m. at Lakeview Memorial Park, Route 130 North, Cinnaminson, New Jersey.
