   Filipino songs and culture: The songs and culture of the Philippines will fill the Lawrence Headquarters Branch of the Mercer County Library tonight.
   Lawrence resident Maria Corazon Solis Gaffar will perform classical and contemporary Filipino songs at 7 p.m. The library is located at 2751 Brunswick Pike.

   Firehouse fundraiser: The Slackwood Fire Company’s 100th Anniversary Committee will hold a fundraiser featuring The Fabulous Greaseband at the West Trenton Ballroom.
   The doors will open at 8:30 p.m., and the ticket price includes admission, beer, soda and snacks.

   Holiday craft show: Do Me a Favor, a full-service printing and gift business, will host a "Holiday Extravaganza" gift show at The Lawrenceville School’s Abbott Dining Hall. to benefit the Unite Negro College Fund.
   A wide range of gift items will be offered at the show, including handbags, jewelry, baby items, gourmet candy, toys, holiday cards, personalized stationery, candles, pottery and more.

   Canal walk: Enjoy a morning walk along the canal with the Delaware & Raritan Canal historian and visit two historic homes along the way, The Port Mercer Canal House and the 18th Century Brearley House.
   The group will meet at 9:30 a.m., at the Port Mercer Canal House 4278 Quakerbridge Road.
   Pre-registration is required for the 2.5-mile round-trip morning walk This free program will be cancelled in the event of inclement weather.

   Pancake breakfast: The Lawrence Lions welcome the public to the group’s annual pancake breakfasts, from 8 a.m. to noon at the American Legion Post #414, 100 Berwyn Place.
   The cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children under age 12.
   Canal talk: Linda Barth, a canal expert, will give a slide-illustrated talk on New Jersey’s two historic canals, the D&R and the Morris Canal.
   The talk will begin at 2 p.m. in the Lawrence Township Municipal Building.

   Lawrence photographs: Photographer David Rosario will present his photographs of Lawrence Township at the Lawrence Headquarters Branch of the Mercer County Library System, 2751 Brunswick Pike.
   A reception, sponsored by the Friends of the Lawrence Library, will be held from 2-4 p.m.

   Blood drive: Lawrenceville Main Street will hold its annual community blood drive on from 3 to 7 p.m. in the lounge of the Presbyterian Church of Lawrenceville, 2688 Main St.

   Sierra Club meeting: Travel to Vietnam with the Sierra Club of Central Jersey as Group Outings chairman Ken Mayberg shares a slide presentation of this past summer’s trip. The free meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m. at the Lawrence Headquarters Branch of the Mercer County Library System, 2751 Brunswick Pike.

   Linux users group: The Linux Users Group in Princeton (LUG/IP) members and guests will meet at 7 p.m. at the Lawrence Headquarters Branch of the Mercer County Library System, 2751 Brunswick Pike, as special guest Jeff Waugh stops by as part of his Badger Badger Badger Tour. Meet Jeff and learn about his love for Ubuntu. This meeting is free and open to the general public.
