H. Guy Smith

   WEST WINDSDOR — H. Guy Smith died Oct. 29 at Bear Creek Assisted Living in West Windsor. He was 83.
   Born in Bethlehem, Pa., Mr. Smith lived in Hillsborough for 35 years before moving to West Windsor nearly four years ago.
   Mr. Smith retired as a controller in the Research and Development department of Bristol Myers Squibb, after more than 20 years of service.
   He was navigator in the US Army Air Corps, where he earned a Purple Heart and the Distinguished Flying Cross Medal, while serving in campaigns in the European Theater and over Normandy.
   He was a communicant of St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church in Princeton, where he coached in the youth basketball program of St. Paul’s School.
   He was predeceased by eight of his brothers and sisters.
   Surviving are his wife, Mary (Glenn) Smith; a son, Timothy of New Brunswick; four daughters, Leslie Taulbee of Westchester Ohio, Pamela Farr of Hopewell, Kathleen Lynch of Princeton, and Maureen Shuck of Garrett Park, Md.; 15 grandchildren; a sister, Helen Smoll of Pennsylvania; and many nieces and nephews.
   Funeral services were held Nov. 3 from Kimble Funeral Home in Princeton, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church. Entombment was in Holy Cross Burial Park in Jamesburg.
