Hamnett
   SUWANEE, Ga. — Lawrence Dean Hamnett, 49, died Oct. 26.
   Born in Trenton, Mr. Hamnett attended the Upper Freehold Regional School District and graduated from the Peddie School and Hampden-Sydney College in Farmville, Va. He was a claim manager for Bituminous Insurance Company.
   He is survived by his wife, Marion E. Hamnett; a son, Lawrence J. Hamnett; two daughters, Rebecca A. and Lauren E. Hamnett, all of Suwanee, Ga.; his parents, Lawrence W. and Dorothy J. Hamnett of Cream Ridge; a sister, Kathleen M. of Allentown; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
   Funeral was held Oct. 29 at Johns Creek Baptist Church in Alpharetta, Ga. Burial was in the Broadlawn Memorial Gardens, Buford, Ga.
Virginia M. Jenei
   WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP — Virginia M. "Ginny" Jenei, 67, died Oct. 31 in Compassionate Care Hospice at St. Francis Medical Center, Trenton.
   Born in Trenton, she was a lifelong area resident. She was employed with Sypek & Sandford Agency in Lawrenceville and enjoyed cooking, collecting and shopping for antiques, vacationing at the beach and spending time with her family and friends.
   Wife of the late Harold Opdycke and sister of the late Cynthia Rura, she is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, Jonathan and Susan Jenei and Jeff and Jennifer Jenei; two stepdaughters and their spouses, Debra Opdycke and James Luxford and Lorraine and Eugene Rezner; a brother, Leonard Demsky; a brother-in-law, James Rura; five grandchildren, Meghan, Thomas, Ryan, Joshua and Noah; two step-granddaughters, Lisa and Laura Rezner; and five nephews, Timothy and Peter Rura, Eric, Daniel and Abrahm Demsky.
   A memorial Service was held Nov. 2 at Saul Colonial Home, Hamilton Square.

Vera A. Marzucca
   MT. HOLLY — Vera A. Marzucca, 82, died Sunday, Oct. 30.
   Born in Trenton, she resided in Tampa, Fla., for many years before moving to Allentown in 1997 and later Mt. Holly. She was supervisor for Switlick Parachute in Trenton, retiring in 1980 after 36 years.
   Daughter of the late James and Marie Reed Cummings, wife of the late Anthony Marzucca, sister of the late James, George, Frank and Donald Cummings and sister-in-law of the late Fred Scott, she is survived by two sisters and a brother-in-law, Janet and Anthony Volpe and Barbara Scott, all of Allentown; a niece and her husband, with whom she resided, Sharon and Mark Haines of Mt. Holly; three sisters-in-law, Madelyn Cummings of Lutz, Fla., and Patricia and Georgia Cummings, both of Columbus; and several nieces and nephews.
   Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. John’s Church, Allentown. Interment was private.

Frances Lenora Hee
   UPPER FREEHOLD — Frances Lenora Hee, 86, died Tuesday, Nov. 1 at her home.
   Born in New Egypt, she was a lifelong area resident.
   Ms. Hee was a retired quality control manager with Ocean Spray Cranberries in Bordentown, retiring in 1982. She was an active member of the Church of the Assumption in New Egypt.
   Daughter of the late Charles and Irene Grant and wife of the late John M. Hee, she is survived by a niece and her husband, Shirley and Arthur Barkalow of Cream Ridge, with whom she resided; a sister-in-law, Dolores Bergmann of Philadelphia; and several other nieces and nephews.
   Mass of Christian Burial was held at the Church of the Assumption, New Egypt. Interment was in the Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, North Hanover.

Laura B. Schwager
   PUEBLO, Colo. — Laura B. Schwager, 78, formerly of Allentown, died Oct. 23.
   Preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Louis Schwager, and daughter of the late Charles and Carrie Burtis, she is survived by her children, Charles Schwager of Pueblo, Arthur J. Schwager of Trenton and Kathleen Rockefeller of Colorado Springs; three sisters, Emily O’Hagan of Toms River, Caroline Giehl of Allentown, and Jacqueline Peppler of Columbus; and eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
   Memorial services were held in Pueblo.

Edward A. Van Pelt
   ALLENTOWN — Edward A. Van Pelt, 65, died Oct. 31 at Compassionate Care Hospice, Trenton.
   Born in East Orange, Edward was employed by Hermitage Press in Trenton. He was active in the Senior Softball Association, playing for the "Cash-4-College" team, which won the Senior State Championship six times.
   He is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Edward Scott and Debbie Van Pelt and William Raymond Van Pelt; two daughters and a son-in-law, Beth Ann Van Pelt and Eileen Michelle and Daniel Shortell; a brother and sister-in-law, William and Joan Van Pelt; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Janice Foti, Karen Doxey, Elizabeth and Robert Cutrofello; and nine grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
   Calling hours will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St., Allentown.

Reuben J. Grubb
   BRICK — Reuben J. Grubb, 79, died Nov. 4.
   Born in Trenton, Mr. Grubb was raised in Trenton and graduated from Trenton Catholic High School. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was an ordinance specialist serving in Europe. Until his disability retirement in 1978, he was an ironworker, LOC 68 Trenton.
   Mr. Grubb was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Bay Head and was a 3rd degree member of the Knights of Columbus. He loved the outdoors and was an avid boater, saltwater fisherman, golfer and skier.
   He is survived by his wife, Betty; his son Tim of Cream Ridge; his daughters, Pam Ratigan of Doylestown, Pa., and Kim Kurtz of Jackson; and six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
   Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Bay Head. Interment was in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, North Hanover.

Thurman Volz
   MILLSTONE — Ann G. Thurman Volz, 88, died SaturDay, Nov. 5 at CentraState Medical Center in Freehold.
   Born in Jersey City, she lived in Trenton, Hamilton Square and Monmouth Crossing in Freehold. She worked for Young’s Rubber Company & Oxyzen Cosmetic Company before retirement. She loved her family, bingo and trips to the casino.
   Ms. Thurman is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Fred and Roberta Volz of North Lewisburg, Ohio; two daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia and David Masterman of Ventnor and Debra and John Gribbin of Millstone; a stepdaughter and her husband, Dolly and Joe Vareha; six grandchildren, Jeff Volz, Sean Gribbin, Meghan and Graham Parker, Michael and Dana Masterman; a great-grandson, Jeremy Volz; and two sisters-in-law, Susy Rein and Alberta Rowley.
   Funeral was held at Saul Colonial Home, Hamilton Square. Interment followed in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hamilton.
