Crime Watch
   Thursday, Nov. 17 — Bordentown City’s Neighborhood Crime Watch volunteers will meet on the second floor of city hall at 7 p.m. New members interested in joining and serving the community are invited.
Cub Scout open house
   Friday, Nov. 18 — Cub Scout Pack 65 invites interested parents and boys in first grade through fifth grade to the open house/pack meeting at 7:30 p.m. in the all-purpose room of Peter Muschal Elementary School, Ward Avenue, Bordentown.

Christmas Bazaar
   Friday and Saturday, Nov. 18-19 — Trinity United Methodist Church, 339 Farnsworth Ave., Bordentown, will hold the annual event Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. featuring the soup-and-sandwich luncheon from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
   The bazaar will be held Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and from 4 to 7 p.m. A buffet-style ham dinner will be served from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at a cost of $10 for adults, $5 for kids. Call 298-5465 or 298-0158 for details.
   • The monthly trash-or-treasure sale will also be held from 9 a.m. to noon on both days. Christmas and half-price items will be featured.
Fall Festival
   Saturday, Nov. 19 — The Lend-A-Hand Society of the First Baptist Church, Prince and Church streets, Bordentown, will sponsor a Fall Festival from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
   Holiday gift tables with candles, gift baskets, stocking stuffers, crafts, toys and games and baked goods will be featured. Free gift-wrapping will be available. Lunch is slated at 11:30 with soup, sandwiches, hot dogs, beverages, and homemade desserts. Attendees should use the side entrance off Church Street.
Roast pork dinner
   Saturday, Nov. 19 — A roast pork and sauerkraut dinner will be held at Florence United Methodist Church, Broad and Second streets, Florence, at 5:30 p.m.
   Adults eat for $13, kids under 12 eat for $7 and those 3 and younger eat free. A baked goods table and some arts and crafts will be featured. Call 499-3807 or the church at 499-1129 for tickets.
Holiday crafts
   Saturday, Nov. 19 — Crafters are needed for a holiday craft show and bake sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the hall at St. Mary’s School, 30 Elizabeth St., Bordentown. Basket and vacation raffles will be featured. Call Sue at 324-9082 for details.
   The Friends of St. Mary’s School will sponsor the event and all profits will benefit the school.
Art auction
   Saturday, Nov. 19 —A gala art exhibit and auction to benefit a Northern Burlington Regional High School scholarship fund will take place at 7 p.m. in the Mansfield Regional Middle School Cafetorium on Mansfield Road East in Columbus.
   The show is sponsored by the Four Seasons Civic Association and will provide music and refreshments during the preview hour from 7 to 8 p.m. More than 160 pieces of art in all media and price ranges will be offered and major credit cards will be accepted. Admission is $10 and tickets will be sold at the door.
Alpaca seminar

Sunday breakfast
   Sunday, Nov. 20 — Holy Assumption Parish, 1290 Hornberger Ave., Roebling, will sponsor an all-you-can-eat breakfast from 8 a.m. to noon at McGrath Hall, adjacent to the school.
   Eggs, home fries, sausage, pancakes, orange juice, coffee and rolls will be served. Adults eat for $5, seniors (65 and older) eat for $4, kids (6 to 12 years old) eat for $3. Children 5 and younger eat free.
Board of Education
   Monday, Nov. 21 — The Northern Burlington County Board of Education will hold its regular meeting at 7:30 p.m. in the high school media center. Action will be taken. The school is located at 160 Mansfield Road East, Columbus.
Holiday celebration
   Saturday, Nov. 26 — Fernbrook Farm Education Center, 150 Georgetown Road, Bordentown, will sponsor a winter holiday celebration from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
   Activities include hiking through woods to look at active wildlife and learn how creatures endure the cold season, games and activities for all ages, wreath making, ornament decorating workshops and storytelling around a fire with marshmallows and hot chocolate.
   Cost is $10 for adults and $6 for kids under 12. Admission does not include the cost of workshop materials. Call 298-8282 for details; registration is required.
Christmas tree lighting
   Thursday, Dec. 1 —The Roebling Historical Society will present the 10th annual Christmas tree lighting at 6:30 p.m. on the Main Street Circle. It will be the Christmas season of Roebling’s 100th anniversary. Goodie bags will be given to kids 12 and under.
   Donations are being accepted to help defray the costs of the tree lighting — call 499-7632 for more details or if you’d like to donate or volunteer. The Florence Township High School Band will perform.
Open house, tour
   Beginning Thursday, Dec. 1 — The Chesterfield Township Board of Education will hold two open house events and a school tour to provide residents with additional details of the district-wide Expansion Plan developed to address issues of over-capacity at Chesterfield Elementary School.
   This $19.5 million plan will be brought before the public for vote on Dec. 13. Two open house events will provide community members with the opportunity to speak with project professionals, board members and administrators on Dec. 1 and Dec. 5 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the elementary school. Tour is set from 9 to 11 a.m. on Dec. 10.

Fashion show
   Friday, Dec. 2 —The Holy Assumption School, 1290 Hornberger Ave., Roebling, will hold its annual fashion show. The theme will be "Luau in Paradise" and fashion, food and prizes are planned.

Sandwich sale
   Friday and Saturday, Dec. 2-3 — The Florence Township Volunteer Fire Co. No. 1, 501 Delaware Ave., Roebling, will hold a hoagie/meatball sandwich sale from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday and from 11 a.m. until sell out on Saturday.
   Italian, American and tuna hoagies as well as meatball sandwiches will be sold for $5 per sandwich (also includes one soda and bag of chips).

Flea market
   Saturday, Dec. 3 — The Friends of St. Mary’s School, Elizabeth Street, will hold the next flea market from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in St. Mary’s School hall and yard in Bordentown. Inside tables cost $10; outside spaces cost $5.

Meet the artist
   Saturday, Dec. 3 and Saturday, Dec. 17 — The Artful Deposit Gallery, 201 Farnsworth Ave., Bordentown City, will host renowned Russian illustrator Gennady Spirin from 1 to 4 p.m. for book signings.
   Original works from more than a dozen of Spirin’s illustrated books will be available, with unframed originals and signed prints from Dec. 3 through Jan. 3. Call 298-6970 for details.
Great Books
   Monday, Dec. 5 — The Bordentown Great Books Club will meet from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Bohemian Bookworm at 4 W. Park Street.

Breakfast with Santa
   Saturday, Dec. 10 — Holy Assumption School, 1290 Hornberger Ave., Roebling, will host breakfast with Santa from 9 to 11 a.m. in McGrath Hall.
   Games and crafts will be featured and each child will be able to visit with Santa, have their picture taken and receive a small gift. Cost is $5 per person
