John Chervenak, Jerome Asch.

John Chervenak
   John Chervenak, 79, died Thursday, Nov 10, at the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick.
   Born in Jersey City, he lived in Bridgewater for 42 years before moving to Monmouth Junction.
   Mr. Chervenak was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a machinist for Delco Battery in New Brunswick before he retired.
   His wife, Ruth Pietrucha Chervenak, is deceased. He is survived by his son, John Chervenak and his wife, Caroline, of Allendale; his two daughters, Sharon Samuels and her husband, James, of Monmouth Junction and Kathleen Monticchio and her husband, Raymond, of South Plainfield; his two sisters, Ann Sliwka of Piscataway and Mary Bulkilvich of Phillipsburg; and his six grandchildren, Erich, Stephanie, Matthew, Shana, Christina and Michelle.
   Funeral Services were conducted on Monday, Nov. 14. at the Rezem Funeral Home, 457 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick. Interment was at Resurrection Burial Park in Piscataway.
Jerome Asch
   Jerome "Jerry" Asch, 81, died Monday, Nov. 14, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick.
   Born in Harrison, Mr. Asch resided in the Concordia development in Monroe Township for 10 years before moving to Kendall Park in 1995. He also maintained a residence in Delray Beach, Fla.
   Prior to his retirement in 1990, he owned and operated Centre Hardware in Sayreville for 34 years. After retiring, he worked in his daughter and son-in-law’s store, Rupp’s Hardware, Sayreville.
   Mr. Asch was an Army veteran of World War II having served in the Philippines. He attended the Newark School of Engineering until he left for World War II. He belonged to VFW Post 4699 in Sayreville. He was a former member of B’nai Brith and was active in the Men’s Club and Bridge Club at the Lakes of Delray, Delray Beach, Fla.
   His wife, Barbara Sacknoff Asch, died in 1992. He is survived by his daughter, Andrea Rupp, and her husband, Ray, of Sayreville; a granddaughter, Kristina Aszman, and her husband, Tom; his fiancée, Diane Yohay of Kendall Park, and by Ms. Yohay’s children, Ilise Welter, Barbara Grossman, Ives Yohay and their spouses and children.
   Funeral services were held Wednesday, Nov. 16, at Mount Sinai Memorial Chapels, Cranbury Road at Evergreen Boulevard, East Brunswick. Interment followed at Beth Israel Cemetery, Woodbridge.
