The Mercer County Regional Chamber of Commerce held a VIP Reception on Nov. 9 at the Conference Center at Mercer County Community College to announce the winners of this year’s Citizen of the Year, Corporation of the Year and Outstanding Small Business of the Year awards.
"We’re particularly excited about this year’s recipients, who we feel truly represent the electricity of Mercer County’s dynamic business climate," said Donald J. Loff, chairman of the board.
The honorees are: Hopewell Valley Community Bank, Outstanding Small Business of the Year; Louis A. Natale Jr., Citizen of the Year; and Stark & Stark, Distinguished Corporation of the Year.
Each year, the chamber selects the person and companies it believes best embody the practice of "corporate social responsibility" the concept of combining social values into how everyday business is conducted.
"This year’s honorees have given of themselves and their companies time and time again. Not only is our business climate a better place because of these honorees, but the communities in which we also live and work benefit tremendously from the programs and initiatives these honorees support," stated Chamber President and CEO Michele Siekerka.
The awards will be presented at the chamber’s annual Hall of Fame Awards Dinner on March 22 at the Hyatt in Princeton. Visit www.mercerchamber.org for more details.
