HILLSBOROUGH Albert "Al" Harcar died Nov. 12 at home. He was 86.
Born in Raritan, he resided in Hillsborough most of his life.
Mr. Harcar was a general-purpose operator for Union Carbide for more than 40 years before retiring. He was a volunteer fireman and was on the first-aid squad at Union Carbide.
His wife, Cora (Miller) Harcar, died in 2002.
Surviving are two sons, Albert Jr. of Pennsylvania and Peter of Flemington; a daughter, Mary Wagner of Flemington; and six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was held Nov. 16 in Neshanic Cemetery in Hillsborough.
Arrangements were by Hillsborough Funeral Home in Hillsborough.
