Party to benefit Morven on Dec. 4

Morven Museum & Garden, Princeton’s premier showcase of New Jersey history and culture, will kick off its month-long "Festival of Trees" with a gala preview cocktail party on Sunday, Dec. 4, from 5 to 7 p.m. The underwriting sponsor of the evening is PNC Advisors.
In addition to a first-hand look at the 13 galleries in the historic home decorated for Christmas by area businesses, guests will have the opportunity to bid on five specially cut and decorated Fraser fir trees. Organizations participating in decorating the live trees are J. McLaughlin, McCarter Theatre, Morven Museum and Garden, Peyton Associates Realtors, and Pins & Needles. Music by the New Jersey Youth Symphony quartet, hors d’oeuvres and valet parking are also part of the event.
The following businesses are decorating the museum’s various galleries: Hamilton Jewelers, The Princeton Packet, Nassau Inn, J. McLaughlin, Stony Brook Center, Westminster Choir College, Martha and Milly, Lianbe Martin and Christie Robb.
Vicki Trainer and Palmer Uhl are co-chairs of the benefit committee that includes Jody Erdman, Mary Funsch, Colleen Goggins, Janet Haring, and Rosanna Jaffin.
Tickets range from $125 to $300 per person. Reservations are limited and can be made by calling (609) 924-8144, ext. 100.
