One deals with beauty, the other with disaster. But two very different nonprofits are working together to achieve a common goal to raise the funds necessary to keep their educational processes alive.
On Sunday from 5 to 7:30 p.m., the American Red Cross of Central New Jersey will present "An Evening with Maestro Nelson Shanks," a live auction of fine art, featuring works of the rising artists of Studio Incamminati in Philadelphia.
The event will take place in the Chauncey Conference Center at ETS in Lawrence, at Rosedale and Carter roads. Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres will be served.
In addition to the live auction, a gallery of works by Studio Incamminati artists is on display for viewing and purchasing through Sunday. Proceeds from purchases privately or through auction will benefit the American Red Cross of Central New Jersey and Studio Incamminati.
The paintings will be auctioned by Beau Freeman of Samuel T. Freeman & Co., who is providing his services pro bono.
World-renowned painter Nelson Shanks founded Studio Incamminati in October 2002, in the belief that the classic principles of realism provide a foundation for the future of art in American society.
Works by Nelson Shanks himself will be available for public viewing at ETS on Sunday evening.
The American Red Cross of Central New Jersey is dedicated to educating its community members. Through lifesaving CPR and first aid instruction, disaster preparedness education and teaching youth the skills that will assist them with future roles in leadership, the chapter is working to help make a difference in the community.
