Art auction a success

thanks to community
To the editor:
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the merchants and businesses of Columbus and the surrounding communities for their support in an effort to make the Four Seasons@Mapleton Civic Association Art Auction a success. With over 180 people in attendance it was an evening of fun, entertainment and refreshment as well as an opportunity to purchase art at bargain prices by actively bidding for the piece of your choice.
A special thanks is also credited to the Northern Burlington County Regional School District Board of Education and School Administrators for their complete support in providing assistance in the use of their facility as well as for their staff and students helping throughout the evening. Students from both the Foods Department and the Interact Club provided and served appetizers as well as assisting in the set-up and distribution of the art.
One of the major objectives of the fund raiser was to increase the scholarship fund which the Civic Association instituted in the spring of 2005. The Association will now be able to increase and expand its effort for Northern Burlington high school students who are active in student government. Lastly, I would like to thank all of the participants who both attended and purchased art at our auction.

Support appreciated

in MS Challenge walk
To the editor:
Recently, we participated in a 50-mile walk for MS. We contacted various area businesses in Bordentown, asking for donations in support of this most worthy endeavor.
This year’s walk was particularly poignant for us, because we were dedicating our walk in memory of our father, Preacher Foltermann, who passed away in February.
We want to publicly thank Bordentown Home for Funerals, Jester’s. and Oliver’s for their very kind and generous donations to the MS Challenge walk. It was very much appreciated. Our hometown businesses give so much back to the community, that they should be lauded for their generous spirit.
So again, thank you Bordentown Home for Funerals, Jester’s and Oliver’s. It is people like you who make Bordentown such a special place to live.

Fund raiser goals

reached at auction
To the editor:
On behalf of the Four Seasons at Mapleton Civic Association it is my pleasure to extend a very sincere thank you to the Northern Burlington Regional School District for their help in making our Art Auction Fund Raiser a success. We could not have done it without the cooperation and help of the Board of Education, school administrators, staff and students. You have all helped us to reach our goal and have enabled us to have the funds to provide an award to a graduating student for a number of years to come.
