John A. Nalbone
   
John A. Nalbone died Nov. 30 at Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center at Hamilton. He was 56.
   Born in Trenton, he was a resident of Lawrence for 40 years.
   Mr. Nalbone a well-known photographer in Lawrence for many years prior to being employed as a chief engineer for the State of New Jersey, Division of Youth and Family Services in Ewing.
   Son of the late John and Anna DeLellis Nalbone, he is survived by his wife, Karen; two daughters, Danielle Nalbone of Ewing and Nicole McMillan and her husband Bruce of Jackson; two grandsons, Kyle Brodbeck and Alexander McMillan of Jackson; and a brother, Wayne Nalbone of Trenton.
   The funeral was Sunday at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road.
   Burial was private.
Richard L. Scott
   
TRENTON — Richard L. Scott died Saturday at the Capital Health System at the Fuld Campus. He was 54.
   He was born in Anniston, Ala. and was a Trenton-area resident for more than 35 years.
   Mr. Scott was educated in Anniston public schools and attended Mercer County Community College.
   He was the assistant chef the Cloister Inn, an eating club at Princeton University.
   The son of the late Julius Scott and Nellie Scott-Jones, he is survived by his wife, Frances Scott; two sons, Richard Scott Jr. of Lawrence and Carl B. Adams II of Trenton; a sister, Brenda Scott; a companion, Phyllis S. Byrd of Lawrence; two uncles and three aunts, Levi Wright of Leominister, Mass., Betty and Joe White of Trenton, Mary D. Wright Ayers of Massachusetts, and Easter Wright-Washington of Las Vegas; and a host of other relatives and friends.
   The funeral will be 6 p.m. today at the Anderson Funeral Service, 300 N. Willow St., Trenton. Viewing will be from 4 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
   Burial will be at Ewing Cemetery in Ewing.
Donald E. Wise
   
WEST WINDSOR — Donald E. Wise died suddenly Saturday while hiking around Sunfish Pond in the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. He was 62.
   Born in Los Angeles, he moved to West Windsor in 1976.
   Mr. Wise was chairman of the Department of Management Sciences at Rider University.
   His company, Wise Consulting, provided computer and network services for Nassau Presbyterian Church, Trinity Counseling Service and the Center of Theological Inquiry, all in Princeton, and statistical analyses for other clients, including the state of New Jersey.
   He received a bachelor’s degree from California State College at Los Angeles in 1966 and a doctorate in economics from Claremont Graduate School in 1971. Research from his dissertation on economic aspects of migrant agricultural laborers in California was cited as recently as a 2004 congressional report on immigration and labor.
   He moved to West Windsor to work as a consultant at Mathematica, now Mathtech, a consulting firm. His work there was submitted to the U.S. Supreme Court for the 1989 Ward’s Cove case regarding age discrimination.
   He was a longtime active member and elder at Nassau Presbyterian Church and for many years served the Presbytery of New Brunswick, most notably as chair of the Committee on Ministry.
   He was a Little League coach and referee in local youth soccer leagues for many years.
   As a youth, he spent his summers hiking and fly-fishing in the Sierra Nevada mountains and in recent years renewed his love of hiking, spending the past two summers hiking portions of the John Muir Trail in the California Sierras, a lifelong dream. Most weekends, he hiked in the Sunfish Pond and Mount Tammany sections of the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area.
   Son of the late Roy and Eleanor Bowman Wise, father of the late Andrew L. Wise, he is survived by his wife of 37 years, Helen Wise; daughters and son-in-law Katharine and Bill Pinches of Frostburg, Md., Jenny of Freehold and Mary Helen at home; sons Ryan of Boston and Matthew of Pitzer College, Claremont, Calif.; brother and sister-in-law Roy Wise and Maggie Bruck of Baltimore; grandsons Andrew, Colin and Timothy Wise Pinches of Frostburg, Md.; and niece Lindsay Wise of Boston.
   A memorial service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Dec. 17 at Nassau Presbyterian Church, 61 Nassau St., Princeton.
   Calling hours will be 4 to 8 p.m. today and Wednesday at the family home.

Mary M. Mann
   
LEXINGTON, N.C. — Mary Henderson Moser Mann died in her home on Sunday after a short period of declining health. She was 92.
   Ms. Mann was born in Hickory, N.C. Her grandfather was Jason C. Moser, one of the founding ministers of Lenoir-Rhyne College.
   She was the valedictorian and secretary of the class of 1930 at Gastonia High School and a 1934 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro where she was president of her senior class. She received a master’s degree at UNC-Greensboro in 1961.
   Ms. Mann was an English and North Carolina history teacher at Lexington Junior High School, Lexington Middle School, and East Davidson High School for over 22 years where she was awarded "Teacher of the Year."
   She enjoyed giving speeches on the importance of a high school education and was dedicated to eliciting the best from her students. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma and NCAE-Retired.
   She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Lexington, for over 50 years, was a circle member and served as the president of the Women’s Society.
   While in Lexington, she was a member of the DAR and UDC and was a program leader and presenter of historic papers to each organization. Most recently, in 1995, she presented a paper to the DAR on the relationship of her Polk ancestors to the U.S. President, James Knox Polk. She also enjoyed membership in the Home and Garden Club and growing flowering plants in her sunroom.
   After retirement in 1978, Ms. Mann and her husband enjoyed many years of traveling extensively in the U.S. and particularly loved the mountains of North Carolina and Virginia.
   Wife of the late Joseph Wesley Mann Jr., daughter of the late Claude Albert and Mary Jane Henderson Moser, sister of the late Helen Moser and Alice Moser Lemon, and mother-in-law to the late Michael J. Fichera Jr. and George Barton Middleton, she is survived by her daughter Barbara Mann Middleton of Bakersville, N.C. and her daughters and sons-in-law Beverley Fichera Lester and Robert Alden Lester, Jr. of Lawrence and Edenton, N.C. and Susan Mann Kimbrell and Gary McRoy Kimbrell of Abingdon, Va. She is also survived by her grandchildren Elizabeth Wesley Middleton of Seattle, and Christopher Joseph Fichera and Lauren Marie Fichera of New York City. Additionally, is survived by her step-granddaughter, Lorraine Kimbrell Patterson and her husband, Nathan Patterson and their two children of Savannah, Ga.
   The funeral was Wednesday. Burial was in Lexington City Cemetery.

Mary T. Lamonica
   
MASONTOWN, Pa. — Mary Teresa Capitoni Lamonica died Nov. 29 at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was 78.
   Ms. Lamonica was born in Mount Sterling, Pa.
   She worked as a homemaker and Avon sales representative. She was a member of All Saints Roman Catholic Church, Masontown, Pa.
   Wife of the late Charles Lamonica, daughter of the late Rafael and Olga Nardinocci Capitoni, and sister of the late Americus Capitoni, Rose Stout, Henry Capitoni, Amelia Chahl and Ralph Capitoni, she is survived by a daughter, Joanne Quinn-Smith of Pittsburgh; sons Charles and his wife Sally Lewis Lamonica of Lawrence and Joseph Lamonica of Pittsburgh; daughter Teresa and her husband William Kurnot of Millwood, Pa.; grandchildren Joseph Bud Smith III, Dean Quinn, Emily Lewis-Lamonica, Mary Katherine Lewis-Lamonica, William Anthony Kurnot, Adrienne Kurnot, Joshua Kurnot, Anna Kurnot and Evan Quinn.
   Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Saturday at All Saints Roman Catholic Church, Masontown, Pa.
   Burial was in Saint Agnes Cemetery, Masontown, Pa. The family requests donations be made to Masontown Helping Hands, 14 S. Main St., Masontown, PA 15461.
