The Gourgaud Gallery Committee is seeking entries for its annual Cranbury student exhibit, "Young at Art," which is open to any Cranbury student between the third and 12th grades.
This is a juried exhibit, so the art must be mature in nature, and professional enough to hang in the Gourgaud Gallery.
The first three "Young At Art" exhibits proved quite successful in showcasing the talented youth in Cranbury and the display has become a tradition at the gallery.
"Young At Art IV" will be exhibited in the Gallery during February, 2006. Applications are available online or from GGC members, Tamara Woronczuk, Lisa Walsh or Bob Virgadamo. Completed pieces must be submitted for consideration by the jury in the Gallery on Jan. 5, 2006, between 5 and 7 p.m.

There is still time to order your tickets to see and hear the Men Of Harmony present their Christmas program.
The concert will be held in the United Methodist Church on Saturday, Dec. 17, at 7. The Men of Harmony will sing familiar Christmas music and other seasonal music dressed in their Dickensian finest.
Refreshments will be served during intermission, after which the singers will return in tuxedos to complete their program of seasonal favorites.
You can purchase tickets at $7 per person from any Lioness member, at the door the night of the concert or by calling Rose Eller (609) 655-9175 or Marie Dey at (609) 395-1751.
A surprise door prize will be raffled off during intermission to one of the lucky people attending. Like the Lions Club, the Lioness Club is a service organization that supports both local and national charities.

Current and former Cub and Boy Scouts are asked to check their closets for uniforms they may no longer need or have out-grown.
The Central New Jersey Boy Scout Council collects these uniforms and redistributes them based on need. Items may be dropped off at the home of the Carroll family, 1 McKnight Court.
As this is an on-going program, uniforms may be donated at any time. This is a wonderful opportunity for scouts and former scouts to do a "good turn" for their fellow scouts in need.

Belated birthday wishes to a certain library director who celebrated a big one last month — you know, one of those major birthdays that end in zero!

The Cranbury Historical and Preservation Society would like to thank everyone who made the annual Christmas Tea a success.
Sally O’Grady and Sharon Holswade organized the seventh grade Girl Scouts from Troop 1467, and the Stasi girls, Lexis and Zara, helped with the punch and cookies. Directed by Jerry Yochelson, the Scout band come faithfully every year to entertain visitors, and Alyssa Pavley had fun helping the younger guests decorate cookies.
