Father Christmas to spend Sunday in town.

Jolly, old St. Nick may have a list that he checks twice, telling him who’s naughty and who’s nice.
But, fortunately for South Brunswick residents, he apparently forgot to check his calendar twice because he is making a special visit to the township on Sunday, a week before Christmas.
Santa Claus is going to take off from the North Pole on Sunday, fly into township with his reindeer leading the way and spend the day spreading last-minute cheer throughout town.
The man with a belly that shakes like a bowl full of jelly will start his day at the South Brunswick Family YMCA on Culver Road.
The YMCA is hosting a day-long event where for $15 children and parents can share two meals, each with Santa, and partake in activities such as arts and crafts and swimming. The fun at the YMCA starts at 9 a.m. and runs until 2 p.m.
The breakfast meal will have food supplied by Dunkin’ Donuts, the Bagel Store, Scalas Bakery, Wegmans and Whole Foods Market. Lunch will be provided by Wawa, Theo’s Restaurant, Stop & Shop, Burger King, McDonald’s and Wendy’s.
As if breaking bread with the worldwide toy-giver isn’t enough, people in attendance will also have the chance to get their face painted, play bingo and swim.
For more information on the YMCA event, contact the facility at (732) 329-1150.
In between breakfast and dinner, Santa will team up with Local 166 of the New Jersey State Policemen’s Benevolent Association and Lodge 51 of the Fraternal Order of Police , which are sponsoring a free meet and greet with St. Nick at the Princeton Radisson on Route 1 at the intersection of Ridge Road at noon.
The police invite all members of the public to meet Santa, receive a gift and have some light refreshments from noon to 3 p.m. at the Radisson.
Santa will also make his way through the township on a firetruck, riding through Kendall Park, Monmouth Junction, Dayton, Deans and Kingston with the local firefighters waving and tossing candy to the children in the afternoon.
After leaving the township, Father Christmas will hop on his sleigh and fly back north to make sure the elves haven’t slacked off and are finishing up their prep work for his busiest day of the year, Christmas, holiday sources say.
