All of Princeton High School’s choir and orchestra ensembles are busy tuning up for the upcoming winter concert.
On Wednesday, the groups will share the stage during the school’s 60th annual winter concert, held at the Princeton University Chapel.
Beginning at 7:30 p.m., the free event will feature the PHS orchestra and repertory orchestras, as well as the high school choir, women’s choir, freshmen women’s choir and men’s choir.
To top off the night, all choirs and alumni will bring the house down with a traditional rendition of the "Hallelujah Chorus."
The PHS orchestra will be performing Mark O’ Connor’s "Appalachia Waltz" as well as Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2 in C Minor, Op. 18, with Tess Edmonds as the soloist.
The PHS Repertoire Orchestra and Sinfonia will play Tchaikovsky’s Russian Choral and Overture, Op. 34, No. 24, as well as Johann Sebastian Bach’s "Schafe koennen sicher weiden."
The concert is open to the public and admission is free.
