Trinity Episcopal Church in Princeton invites the public to the annual service of Christmas Lessons and Carols, sung by the Choirs of Trinity Church under the direction of Tom Whittemore, director of music, on Sunday, Jan. 1, at 11 a.m. in the Princeton University Chapel.
The service, led by the clergy of Trinity Church, will include readings of nine scripture selections with traditional carols and hymns. An eight-piece brass ensemble with timpani will be led by guest conductor Richard Webster, associate director of music at Trinity Church, Copley Square, in Boston. A prelude recital by guest organist Clancy Rowley will include Cesar Franck’s Pastorale and "Es is ein Ros entsprungen" by Johannes Brahms.
