Princeton Township Police issued Thursday a composite drawing and full description of a man wanted for robbing the PNC bank on Route 206 near Cherry Valley Road on Dec. 13.
The suspect is described as a black male in his late 30s or early 40s. He is about 6 feet 3 inches to 6 feet 4 inches tall, police say, and is thin, weighing about 170 pounds.
According to police, the man has dark eyes with yellowish whites, a dark complexion, yellow teeth and chapped lips. Police say he was last seen wearing a dark blue knit cap and a white jacket with blue stripes across the chest.
The suspect is wanted for robbing the bank of between $500 and $800. It is not known if he acted alone or with an accomplice, police say.
The suspect reportedly entered the bank around 11:42 a.m. and approached the teller with a note asking for money. Though he did not display a weapon, he led the teller to believe he had an explosive device and would detonate it she did not cooperate, police said.
Police said the robber fled the bank after being handed money, but they do not know if he left on foot or in a car.
Police arrived on the scene shortly thereafter, and began processing the crime. An agent from the FBI’s Trenton office also assisted with the investigation. The investigation is continuing.
Anyone with information on the robbery should contact Detective Sgt. Scott Porreca at (609) 921-2100. The confidential tip line can also be called at (609) 688-2049.
