Feast of the Epiphany
   Friday, Jan. 6 — Christ Episcopal Church, 130 Prince St., will mark the Feast of the Epiphany with a Solemn Mass at 7 p.m. All are welcome.
Shrimp Night
   Friday, Jan. 6 — American Legion Post 39 will sponsor "Shrimp Night" the first Friday of each month from 5 to 8:30 p.m. at the post home, 112–114 4th Ave., Roebling.
   Cost is $10 per serving and shrimp, coleslaw and potato salad will be served. Meatball platters cost $7. Walk in or make reservations. Call 387-0555 or 298-6633 for details.
Kindergarten Round-up
   Friday, Jan. 6 — In an effort to plan for the implementation of new full-day kindergarten, the Bordentown Regional School District is announcing an early kindergarten round-up date.
   Community members who have children who will be 5 years old as of Oct. 1, 2006, are asked to complete an enrollment form no later than Jan. 6, 2006.
   Registration for both elementary schools will be held the week of Jan. 23, 2006. Additional information can be found at www.bordentown.k12.nj.us.
Benefit event
   Saturday, Jan. 7 — A benefit for Roebling native Gregory Kelso, Sr. will be held from 5-10 p.m. on Jan. 7 at Roebling Firehouse. The evening will include a dinner buffet, music, kids entertainment and a Chinese auction. Admission is a $30/adult or $10/child donation. Little League

Registration
   Saturday, Jan. 7 and Wednesday, Jan. 11 —Bordentown Little League is currently registering boys and girls ages 5 to 12 for the upcoming baseball and softball season. In-person registrations will be held on Saturday, Jan. 7 from 10 a.m. to noon and Wednesday, Jan. 11 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Carslake Community Center. Registration forms, which can be mailed as well, can be downloaded at www.bordentownlilttleleague.org. Registration forms are due by Jan. 15.
Ballroom dancing
   Sunday, Jan. 8 — The Widows and Widowers of Burlington County will hold a ballroom dancing nights on the first Sunday evening of each month from 7 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. at the Korean Presbyterian Church, 147 Route 130N in Bordentown. It is a social evening of good music and dancing for widows and widowers only. Admission is $7 for members and $10 for guests. Refreshments are featured. Atlantic City trip
   Sunday, Jan. 8 — The Knights of Columbus No. 570 will sponsor a bus trip to the Showboat Casino in Atlantic City. Bus will leave St. Mary’s Church at 4:30 p.m. for a 4-hour stay. Cost is $20 per person and $19 and $5 food credit. Call Bob at 298-5530 for reservations.
Cemetery meeting
   Tuesday, Jan. 10 —The annual meeting of the Board of Trustees and Lot Owners of the Bordentown Cemetery Association Inc. will be held at 10:30 a.m. at the Cemetery Office at 210 Crosswicks Road in Bordentown. Proxy voting forms are available at the Bordentown Cemetery Office between the hours of 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Marsh trip
   Saturday, Jan 21 — Friends for the Marsh have planned a field trip from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.

MOMS Club meeting
   Thursday, Jan. 12 — Come to meet with other stay-at-home or part-time working moms in the community at the 9 a.m. meeting. The organization is open to residents of Roebling, Florence, Bordentown, Fieldsboro and Mansfield.

Thomas Paine event
   Sunday, Jan. 29 —The Thomas Paine Society of Bordentown will sponsor the annual Thomas Paine Birthday Celebration. The all-day celebration will feature a 1:30 p.m. luncheon and lecture by Professor Robert Lorenzi on Thomas Paine’s Revolutionary pen.

WIC program
   The Burlington County WIC program currently has a clinic at the Shiloh Baptist Church in Bordentown.
   WIC (Women, Infants and Children) is a federally funded supplemental nutrition program for pregnant and breastfeeding women, infants and children under age 5. Eligibility for the program is based on income and nutritional and/or medical risk. WIC can provide infants with iron-fortified infant formula, cereal and juice. Children and women receive milk, cheese, eggs, cereal, juice, peanut butter or beans. Women who breastfeed and do not use any infant formula may also receive carrots and tuna.
   The Burlington County WIC program has clinic sites throughout the county and evening appointment. To find out if you may qualify, or to make an appointment, call WIC at 267-4304.
Lions Club
   The Bordentown Township Lions Club needs help helping others. Improve vision for the future by providing eye exams and glasses for needy people, protect pets with the free vaccination programs, and participate in community activities such as Bordentown’s annual street fair.
   Meetings are held on the second and fourth Monday of each month at the Town and Country Diner, Route 130, Bordentown, at 6:30 p.m., and the public is invited to join.
Cat adoption

Scholarship
   The Springfield Township School and Community Education Foundation, Inc. is offering $500 scholarships to a graduating high school student who presently or formerly resides in the community and attended the Springfield Township School District.
   The goal of the scholarship is to support youth in the post secondary educational endeavors. Applications are available from the Main office of the Springfield Township School or your high school’s Guidance Office. Nicotine Anonymous
   Weekly on Tuesdays — Nicotine Anonymous meetings will be held each Tuesday from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Divine Word Missionary, second floor, 101 Park St., Bordentown.
   The meeting is open to anyone who has the desire to stop using nicotine. You need not have quit to attend. There are no dues or fees. Call 298-1866 for details.
