HILLSBOROUGH Regina Famularo, 85, died Dec. 19 at her home. Born in South Plainfield, she lived there until moving to Hillsborough in 1954.
Mrs. Famularo was employed as an LPN for Somerset Medical Center, retiring in 1985. She then worked at Foothills Acre Nursing Home in Hillsborough. She was an active member in the First Baptist Church of South Plainfield’s Woman’s Club.
Her husband, Alfred Famularo, died in 1995. A daughter, Anne Whelchel and a son, Jon Peter Fekete are deceased.
Surviving are a son, Alfred Famularo of Hillsborough; three daughters, Eileen DiNizo of Scotch Plains, Lisa Avellan of Bergenfield, and Juanita Adams of Stroudsburg, Pa.; three sisters, Bette Dafgard of Bound Brook, Nan Soloynsky of South Plainfield and Veleda Kababick of Arizona; 27 grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Dec. 22 at 11 a.m. at the South Plainfield Funeral Home in South Plainfield, followed by interment at Hillside of Samptown Cemetery in South Plainfield.
