EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. Virginia (Gallagher) Arwine died Dec. 21 at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville. She was 87.
Born in Hornell, N.Y., she had lived in Norristown, Pa., for 30 years before moving to Canandaigua, N.Y., for 15 years, finally settling in East Stroudsburg, Pa., eight years ago.
Mrs. Arwine was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Manavan Chapter Eastern Star located in Norristown and a Judge of Elections in Mont Clare, Pa.; she served as a Girl Scout leader for 15 years.
Her husband, Alva Arwine, died in 1980.
Surviving are three daughters, Sharon Hoehler of Henryville, Pa., Dawn Zackeru of Manville and Michele Kortz of Knoxville, Tenn.; one son, William of Las Vegas; three sisters, Helen Persichilli, Marilyn Hunt and Betty Sexton of Hornell, N.Y.; one brother, Thomas Gallagher of Hornell; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Private funeral arrangements were by Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home in Manville.
