Police Blotter for the week of Dec. 30

East Windsor
   Reginald Brutus, 21, of Dorchester Drive was charged with simple assault Sunday morning, after he lunged at a police officer trying to question him in the parking lot of his apartment building, police said.
   Police had responded to a report of a large fight and found Mr. Brutus there, intoxicated and with a bump on his forehead, police said.
   Mr. Brutus also was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. He was released pending court action.

   Roxanne Z. Veras, 43, of Jackson was charged with aggravated assault on a police officer the evening of Dec. 23, after hitting an officer who was trying to escort her from the ShopRite on Route 130, police said.
   Ms. Veras had been asked to leave the Bank of America counter at the ShopRite when she started yelling at employees, police said.
   She also was charged with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. She was released pending court action.

   A blue 1994 Chevrolet Caprice valued at $500 was reported stolen from the lot of John’s Auto Repair on Route 130 between Dec. 16 and Dec. 23.

   William V. Fabricatore, 56, of Lawrenceville was charged with being under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance the evening of Dec. 22, after police saw him swerve into oncoming traffic in his car on Stockton Street, police said.
   Mr. Fabricatore also was charged with possession of a prescribed controlled dangerous substance not in its prescribed container. He was released pending court action.
Hightstown
   Alejandro Munoz, 32, of East Windsor was charged Wednesday morning with possession of a fictitious driver’s license.
   Police said Mr. Munoz presented the I.D. of his brother, Manuel Zhaqui Munoz, 31, of East Windsor, with the suspect’s own photo affixed to the I.D., unaware that his brother had outstanding traffic warrants. Police said Mr. Munoz was transferred to their custody by Washington Township police.

   Mario Quizhpi, 26, of East Windsor was charged Wednesday afternoon with displaying a fictitious driver’s license.
   Police say they stopped Mr. Quizhpi’s vehicle on Summit Street for having an expired inspection sticker and he produced a fictitious driver’s license from Ecuador that he later admitted to having purchased for $100 in Philadelphia.
   Mr. Quizhpi was also charged with being an unlicensed driver, having an expired inspection sticker and failure to exhibit valid registration and a valid insurance card.

   Eric Fried, 20, of East Windsor was charged early Saturday morning with underage driving while intoxicated.
   Police said they stopped a vehicle on Franklin Street due to a nonfunctioning tail lamp. According to police, after Mr. Fried failed a field sobriety test, a search of the vehicle revealed a plastic baggy containing what the officer suspected to be marijuana.
   Mr. Fried also was charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams, possession of a controlled and dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, reckless driving and failure to maintain lamps.
