Donna R. Kampf Hackworth, 43, died Thursday, Jan. 19, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick.
Born in New Brunswick and raised in Sayreville, she was a resident of Kendall Park for the last 18 years. Ms. Hackworth was employed by The Star-Ledger, the Home News and Greater Media Newspapers for many years.
Her mother, Carole Kampf, is deceased. She is survived by her father, Kenneth Kampf of Texas; her husband, Jeffrey C. Hackworth; two sons, Louis and William Donise of Edison; a stepdaughter, Brooke Hackworth; three brothers, Kenneth and Al Kampf of Texas and David White; a sister, Christine White of Nebraska; and an aunt and uncle, William and Wanda Stelmaszek of Sayreville.
The funeral was held Monday, Jan. 23, at M.J. Murphy Funeral Home, 616 Ridge Road at New Road, Monmouth Junction. The Rev. John Hackworth officiated. Calling hours were Sunday, Jan. 22, at the funeral home. Burial was at St. Mary’s Cemetery, South River.
