June Hospital Fete takes on a beach theme

Get out the sand buckets and sunscreen. The 53rd annual June Fete is taking on the shore.
The Auxiliary of University Medical Center at Princeton’s largest fundraising event, the June Fete is an all-day fair with fun, food, shopping and entertainment for people of all ages.
It will be held June 10.
Fete Co-Chairs Pam Garbini of Plainsboro and Kim Schwing of Pennington announced Monday the theme for this year — "Greetings from Beach Fete 2006."
Proceeds will help support emergency cardiac care and heart-related community education and screening programs at the hospital.
This year’s Fete festivities will again be held on the concourse of Princeton Stadium on the university campus, which offers plenty of on-site parking and in the event of rain, a partially covered concourse.
The Fete gets under way at 5 p.m. June 9 with the traditional auction preview and silent bidding, and flea market preview. There will be expanded shopping at the Art Tent and Lane of Shops, children’s games, musical entertainment, and food vendors will also be open.
The Beach Fete continues at 9 a.m. June 10 with the flea market, live auction, a 10K race, games for all ages, live entertainment, the Strawberry Patch, a 50-50 raffle and a surprise car raffle. A selection of T-shirts and caps with the 2006 Fete logo will be available for purchase. Admission is free.
