Guitar festival will return

MIDDLETOWN — Brookdale Public Radio will present an original guitar show on Feb. 19 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Donald D. Warner Student Life Center on the campus of Brookdale Community College, Route 520, Lincroft. The ninth annual Brookdale Guitar Show is sponsored by Nothing New Music of Lakehurst.

According to a press release, the environment of the Student Life Center includes significantly improved venues for live performances, clinics and panel discussions, and an enhanced vendor area that will house a number greater than previous years’ shows. The lower level of the Student Life Center will feature bluegrass music and clinics. Admission is $5 with an instrument to trade or sell or with a 90.5 The Night membership card. Regular admission is $10.

A full list of performers, clinics and other entertainment will be announced at the end of January. Founder Raritan Bay Guitar Repair, a full-service repair center, joins the event again this year.

Vendor tables and sponsorships are still available. Interested parties can reserve tables by calling Kristin Florio at (732) 224-2470.
