The First Baptist Church of Princeton has joined forces with the Princeton Committee of the United Negro College Fund, Corner House Counseling Center and financial institutions to sponsor a free college fair to take place on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Participating will be eight historic black colleges and universities (HBCU) from the Mid-Atlantic and Southern regions Cheyney University, Delaware State University, Hampton University, Lincoln University, Morehouse College, Morgan State University, Spelman College, North Carolina A&T University and Winston-Salem University.
The event will feature a film, "Eye on the Prize," at 9:30 a.m.; a discussion forum, "Why HBCUs Are Significant in the 21st Century, at 11:30 a.m.; luncheon at noon; the college fair at 1 p.m., and a discussion forum, "College Life," at 2:45 p.m.
The event, which will take place at the First Baptist Church, is open to high school students and their parents who are interested in learning more about HBCUs. Admission is free, including lunch.
