LAMBERTVILLE Dennis Wilson McGuire, 50, died Saturday, April 1, at home from multiple myeloma.
Born in Doylestown, Pa., he lived most of his life in Lambertville. He was a 1973 graduate of South Hunterdon Regional High School.
Mr. McGuire was employed by General Motors Fisher Body Division in Ewing from 1976 until 1998 when he was transferred to the Wilmington plant in Delaware.
In 1997, his daughter joined him at the Ewing plant and became the fourth generation of the McGuire family to be employed by General Motors. He was a member of the United Auto Workers Union.
Mr. McGuire was the son of the late Thomas J. McGuire Jr. of Lambertville.
Dennis is survived by his wife of 28 years, Emily Ann Niece McGuire; his daughter, Shannon O’Neill McGuire, and her fiancé, Daryl Rost, of Upper Black Eddy, Pa.; his brother and sister-in-law, Thomas J. and Phyllis McGuire III of Lambertville; his sister, Carole Whitehead of Stockton; his brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Sherry McGuire of Hamilton; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Norma and Peter Reimer of Lambertville; his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Carolyn and Dan Fuch of Pittsburgh, Pa.; his brother-in-law, Michael O. Niece of Dublin, Pa.; his niece, Taryn Whitehead of Stockton and her fiancé, Mark Krisanda of Hamilton; and his nephew, Matthew McGuire of Hamilton.
Funeral services will be held today (April 6) at 10:30 a.m. at the Garefino Funeral Home, Lambertville. Committal prayers will follow at the Ewing Crematory.

LANCASTER, Pa. Richard "Dick" Joseph Vocke, 87, of East Hempfield Township, Lancaster, Pa., died Saturday, April 1, after a brief illness at Essa Flory Hospice Center, Lancaster County.
Born in Flemington, he was the son of the late Joseph and Sadie Crozier Vocke and lived in Delaware Township before moving to Lancaster County in 2004.
After working in the family business, Vocke Florists, now Flemington Floral Company, he started his own electrical contracting company, Vocke Electric.
He is preceded in death by four sisters, one brother and a son-in-law, Larry J. Stanford.
Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Barbara Elinor Niece Vocke; two daughters and son-in-law, Martha and Peter Campbell of East Madison, Maine, and Ellie and Rich Ozimek of Lancaster, with whom he lived; a son and daughter-in-law, Fred and Lois of Stockton; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Private graveside funeral services were held in Sandy Ridge Cemetery, Delaware Township, under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, Flemington.
