William S. Gravatt
   William S. Gravatt died Friday at the Compassionate Care Hospice in Trenton. He was 75.
   Born in Trenton, he resided in Lawrence all of his life.
   He was a United States Navy veteran of the Korean War having served with a Mobile Construction Battalion (Seabees).
   He was a member of the Lawrence Road Presbyterian Church and the American Legion Post 414.
   He enjoyed music golf and trips to Atlantic City.
   Son of the late Albert and Elizabeth Speck Gravatt and brother of the late Casper, Kenneth and Albert Gravatt Jr. he is survived by his wife of 53 years, Nancy Smith Gravatt, his three daughters and three sons-in-law; Cindy and Jeff Haney of Houston; Linda and David Lee of Marietta, Ga., and Dawn and Don Tebbet of Brightwood, Va.; five grandchildren Bill, Brian and Lauren Kenny, Katlyn Schlosser and Shaelyn Tebbet; a sister Virginia Cartlidge of Charlotte, N.C., and several nieces and nephews.
   A memorial service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Lawrence Road Presbyterian Church, 1039 Lawrence Road, with the Rev Nina Reeder officiating.
   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lawrence Road Presbyterian Church, 1039 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville or to the Compassionate Care Hospice, St. Francis Hospital, 601 Hamilton Ave. 6th Floor, Trenton, NJ 08629.
Elizabeth Haluko
   Elizabeth "Betty" Haluko died March 27 at the University Medical Center at Princeton. She was 65.
   Born in Perth Amboy, she had resided in Lawrence for 33 years.
   She attended Marietta College in Marietta, Ohio.
   Ms. Haluko was a retired administrative assistant with the Lawrence Township Board of Education.
   Daughter of the late Larry Letts and wife of the late Michael Haluko Jr., she is survived by her son Michael L. Haluko and her mother Marie Wychowsky Letts.
   The funeral was private. Burial was in the Cloverleaf Memorial Park in Woodbridge.
   Memorial contributions in Ms. Haluko’s memory may be made to the National M.S. Society, 1 Reed Street, Suite 200, Philadelphia, PA 19147.

Ronald J. Boczkowski
   Ronald James Boczkowski of Lawrence died Saturday at his residence. He was 62.
   Born in Bridgeport, Conn. and raised in Buffalo, N.Y., he was an area resident most of his life.
   Mr. Boczkowski graduated with his bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Canisius College in 1967 and a doctorate in chemistry from the University of Notre Dame in 1970.
   Mr. Boczkowski was employed for 25 years as a chemist at Union Camp in Lawrence and, most recently, he worked as an engineer for the Englehard Corp. in Edison.
   Son of the late Matthew and Marie Boczkowski he is survived by his wife, Catherine Egan Boczkowski; his son and daughter, Tony and Tricia Boczkowski of New York City; his brother, Paul Boczkowski and his sister, Judith Chapman, both of California.
   A memorial Mass was celebrated Tuesday at the Church of St. Ann, 1253 Lawrence Road.
   Burial was private.

Christine Salcewicz
   Christine Salcewicz died Monday at Care One in Ewing. She was 80.
   Born in Poland, she resided most of her life in Trenton and lived in Lawrence for 10 years.
   Ms. Salcewicz was formerly employed at the Horseman Doll Factory in Trenton. She went on to work as a cashier at John’s Bargain Store and later retired from Colonial Farms in Trenton.
   She was a former member of St Hedwig Church.
   She was a member of the Church of St. Ann, Trenton Polish American Democratic Club, the Polish Congress and the Lawrence Township Senior Citizen Club #1.
   Wife of the late Edward Salcewicz, she is survived by a son and daughter-in-law George and Judith Salcewicz and two grandchildren Patricia Lynn Reis and Sean Salcewicz.
   The funeral will be today at 9 a.m. from Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road.
   A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. in the Church of St. Ann in Lawrenceville. Burial will be in St. Hedwig Cemetery in Ewing.
   In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Lawrence Township Emergency First Aid Squad, 165 Pilla Ave., Lawrenceville, NJ 08648.
Elizabeth J. Strano
   Elizabeth "Betty" J. Strano died Wednesday at St. Joseph’s Skilled Nursing Unit at Morris Hall. She was 89.
   Born in Trenton she was a resident of Ewing for many years before moving to Lawrence three years ago.
   Ms. Strano retired after 25 years of service from the Ewing Township Board of Education where she was employed a cafeteria manager.
   She was also a volunteer at Mercer Medical Center in Trenton and was a member of the Ewing Township Senior Citizens Club.
   Daughter of the late Dominic and Rose Tremitieri Chiacchio, wife of the late Joseph Strano Sr., mother of the late, Charles Strano and sister of the late, Nicholas Chiacchio and Grace Mazzitelli, she is survived by her son, Joseph Strano Jr.; a daughter-in-law Barbara Strano; two granddaughters Michele Strano and her husband, Robert Arndt, and Jaclyn Strano; a grandson Mark Strano and his partner Wade Gasque; a great-granddaughter, Diana Strano Arndt; a sister Virginia Belviso and her husband, Donald and many other relatives.
   The funeral was Wednesday from Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road.
   A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Wednesday at Incarnation Roman Catholic Church, Ewing. Burial was in the Ewing Church Cemetery, Ewing.
   Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph’s Skilled Nursing Unit at Morris Hall, 1 Bishops Drive, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648 or to the Woodbine Developmental Center, 1175 DeHirsh Ave., Woodbine, NJ 08270.
John Parks
   John Parks died March 29 in St. Joseph’s Skilled Nursing Center in Lawrence. He was 98.
   Born in Rutherglen, Scotland, he had lived in New Jersey most of his life.
   Mr. Parks was a graduate of New York University and retired as an accountant for ESNA Corp. of Union. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family.
   Husband of the late Catherine Shaw Park, grandfather of the late Beth Ann Drake and great-grandfather of the late George Alexander Drake, he is survived by his two daughters and one son-in-law, Barbara and James Drake of Allentown and Andrea Park of Eustis, Fla.; two grandchildren, Kevin Drake and his wife, Rea, and Amy E. Drake; and a great-grandson James Ryan Drake.
   Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Tuesday in the Morris Hall chapel.
   Burial was in St. John’s Cemetery, Allentown.
   In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mr. Park’s name to the March of Dimes, 5 Cedar Brook Drive, Cranbury, NJ 08512 or to St. Joseph’s Skilled Nursing Center, 1 Bishops Drive, Lawrencevllle, NJ 08648.
