The show is being held under the auspices of the Cat Fanciers’ Association (CFA), the world’s largest registry of pedigreed cats
The cat show will benefit Zero Population Growth All-Breed Club, a local nonprofit organization that raises funds to spay and neuter feral cats.
"These are the homeless cats that few people care about," said Jane Barletta, president of ZPGABC. "Yet these are the cats that largely contribute to the numbers of cats and kittens that show up in shelters. By spaying and neutering, and returning these cats to the wild, we help to stabilize the feral colonies that we work with, and it significantly helps to control numbers of feral kittens that are born."
The show hours are Saturday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday, 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. General admission is $ 8, $7 for senior citizens 62 and older and for children ages 4 to 12. Children under age 4 and wheelchair users are free.
