The Princeton-based Coalition for Peace Action will present a forum titled, "Iran: The Next Middle East War?" 7 p.m. Monday in the community room of the Princeton Public Library, 65 Witherspoon St., Princeton.
The keynote speaker will be Ray McGovern, a 27-year CIA veteran intelligence officer.
Mr. McGovern gave the morning White House briefings during the Nixon, Ford and Reagan administrations. In 2003, he co-founded Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity to challenge the corruption of intelligence analysis by political pressure.
Also speaking will be Dr. Shapoor Vali, a professor and former associate dean at Fordham University who is originally from Iran. Dr. Vali, who has been a member of coalition for some years, has just returned from a trip to Iran.
"This forum is offered to inform concerned citizens and prepare us for pre-emptive peacemaking," said the Rev. Robert Moore, coalition executive director.
The forum is free and open to the public. For further information, contact the Coalition for Peace Action at www.peacecoalition.org or (609) 924-5022.
