PLAINSBORO Two Democratic incumbents will run unopposed in the June primary for two open seats on the Township Committee in November.
Deputy Mayor Neil Lewis, who is completing his fourth term on the committee, and Ginger Gold Schnitzer, who will have served two full terms in September, will run for three-year terms.
"After watching how we have continued to evolve as a community and we have made extremely good progress with environmental issues and open space, I have a keen interest to make sure Plainsboro stays a place with an excellent quality of life," Mr. Lewis said.
Ms. Gold Schnitzer said that if she is re-elected, she will look forward to seeing the completion of the Plainsboro Village Center and the development of plans for the new library.
"I love the town and I think there’s more work to be done," she said.
In particular, the township will face the challenges of slowing growth and the burden of residential property taxes, Ms. Gold Schnitzer said.
No Republicans filed for the June primary.
