Carmelina “Millie” Guzzo

Mrs. Guzzo, 90, of Manalapan, died April 6 at the John L. Montgomery Care Center, Freehold Township. Born in Lawrence, Mass., she lived in New York City before moving to Manalapan eight years ago. Mrs. Guzzo was a seamstress in Manhattan for many years. She was a former communicant of St. Simon and St. Jude Roman Catholic Church, Brooklyn, N.Y. She was predeceased by her husband, Salvatore, in 1974; a son, Salvatore, in 1992; a brother, Joseph; and a sister, Ann. Mrs. Guzzo is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Frank and Gloria Guzzo of Manalapan; a daughter-in-law, Milta Guzzo of Little Elm, Texas; three grandchildren; and a great-grandson. A funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Perrineville section of Millstone, followed by interment at St. Charles Cemetery, Pinelawn, N.Y. The Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, Manalapan, was in charge of arrangements.

Thomas J. Pendolino Sr.

Mr. Pendolino, 85, of Manalapan, died April 7 at home. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he had lived there until moving to Manalapan six years ago. Before his retirement in 1969, Mr. Pendolino worked for the Transit Authority in Brooklyn for 28 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a former communicant of St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church, Brooklyn. Mr. Pendolino is survived by his wife, Vincenza; two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Cindy of Manalapan, and Thomas and Mary of Brooklyn; a daughter, Denise of Matawan; a brother, John of Florida; a sister, Josephine Nobile of Florida; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was offered at St. Thomas More Roman Catholic Church, Manalapan, followed by interment at Green-Wood Cemetery, Brooklyn. Memorial donations may be made to the Visiting Nurse Association of Central Jersey, 141 Bodman Place, Red Bank 07701-9978.

Virginia B. Randolph

Mrs. Randolph, 82, of Freehold, died April 1 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. She was born in Durham, N.C., and had resided in Philadelphia before moving to Freehold in 1946. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Freehold. Mrs. Randolph was the reunion secretary for the National World War II Glider Pilots Association for more than 25 years. She was a volunteer for the Monmouth County Historical Association, Freehold and Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune Township. Surviving are her husband, S. Tipton Randolph; a son and daughter-in-law, Tipton C. and Shirley Randolph of Freehold; a daughter and son-in-law, Virginia A. and Terry Collins of Silver Spring, Md.; a brother, Edgar Bowen of New Jersey; two sisters, Dorothy Sonntag and Lorraine Murphy, both of Pennsylvania; and two grandchildren.
