Carmela P. Leonowicz
   
Carmela M. Pepe Leonowicz died Friday at Capital Health System at Mercer. She was 94.
   Born in Long Island City, N.Y., Mrs. Leonowicz lived most of her life in Trenton and Lawrence.
   She retired in 1947 after 24 years service with LaCorona Cigar Factory on Grand Street in Trenton.
   She was a member of the Altar Rosary Society of the Church of St. Ann, and was a former member of the Alter Rosary at Blessed Sacrament Church. Also, she was a member of the Blessed Sacrament grammar school’s parent-teacher organization.
   Daughter of the late Ralph Sr. and Serafina Correnti Pepe, sister of the late Salvatore Pepe Sr., Sister Theresa Pepe, and Ralph Pepe Jr., she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Johanna B. and Ronald E. Burbella of Lawrence; her son and daughter-in-law, Michael E. and Dorothy Leonowicz of Charlotte, N.C.; two grandchildren Ronald A. Burbella of Los Angeles and Karen E. Burbella of Lawrence; her sister, Sister Angelina Pepe; and a sister and brother-in-law Vanda and Filipini Nalbone of Lawrence; and two nephews Salvatore Pepe Jr. and Salvatore Nalbone.
   The funeral was Tuesday from the Winowicz Funeral Chapel, 865 Brunswick Ave.
   Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Tuesday in the Church of St. Ann.
   Burial was in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Hamilton.

Samuel J. Nalbone
   
Samuel J. "Dean" Nalbone of Lawrence died at his residence on April 4. He was 89.
   Born in Philadelphia, he resided in Lawrence for the past 55 years.
   Mr. Nalbone was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a Trenton area businessman and was primarily involved in commercial real estate for the past 50 years.
   Son of the late Frank and Ethel Vicari Nalbone, husband of the late Ida Rosati Nalbone, and brother of the late James and Charles Nalbone, Sadie Belfiore, and Millie Farinell, he is survived by a daughter, Deborah J. Nalbone of Lawrence; two sons and daughters-in-law Dean and Shelly Nalbone of Hamilton and Frank B. and Patricia Nalbone of Lawrence; a brother and sister-in-law Joseph and Dorothy Nalbone of Lawrence; six grandchildren Angela B. Salzano, Gennaro D. Salzano, and Dino S. Salzano, Nicole C. Nalbone, Dean Nalbone Jr. and Gina I. Nalbone; and many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
   The funeral was Friday at the Brenna Funeral Home, 340 Hamilton Ave., Trenton.
   Burial was in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, Hamilton.
Marilyn G. Hanuschik
   Marilyn E. German Hanuschik of Lawrence died April 4 at Chandler Hall in Newtown, Pa. She was 79.
   Born in Trenton, she was a lifelong area resident.
   She retired after 34 years of service from General Motors Inland Fisher Guide in Ewing as a quality inspector. Marilyn was a member and former president of the Senior Club, an active volunteer for the Lawrence Senior Center and nutrition center.
   She loved to play pinochle every Friday at the senior center and she was an avid reader and crossword puzzle aficionado. Ms. Hanuschik’s community service included work as a volunteer in the Lawrence Township Neighborhood Preservation Program.
   Daughter of the late Harold T. German and Marquerite Dempsey German, she is survived by her son, Joseph Hanuschik of Wildwood; her two daughters, JoAnne Hanuschik of Chesterfield and Suzanne Hanuschik of Hamilton; a brother Harold T. German of Whiting; two sisters Jean F. Horton of Canton, Ga. and Ruth Naef of Cedar Grove; and several nieces and nephews.
   The funeral was Saturday from the Buklad Memorial Home, 2141 S. Broad St. in Hamilton.
   Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Raphael Church, 3500 S. Broad St. in Hamilton.
   Burial was private.

Frederick Green Jr.
   
DENNIS — Frederick Green Jr. died Friday at Care One Hospice in Ewing. He was 86.
   Born in Haddon Heights, he also lived in Parsippany and Bucks County, Pa. before moving to the Ocean View section of Dennis Township in 1974.
   Mr. Green was a U.S. Marine Corps fighter pilot in World War II where he fought in the battle of Guadalcanal. He was a graduate of Swarthmore College class of 1948. He was a ham radio operator and a member of the Jarhead Net.
   Mr. Green was a test engineer at Reaction Motors and aerospace manager at Thiokol Chemical Corporation and later went on to work as an Federal Aviation Administration flight instructor and as a commercial airline pilot with U.S. Airways of Cape May.
   Husband of the late Elizabeth Ries Green, Mr. Green is survived by his sister, Dorothy Senges and her husband, Don of Rochester, N.Y.; two sons and one daughter-in-law Frederick Green III of Madison, Wis., and Douglas and Kathleen Green of Lawrence; a daughter Sally Ann Bentz and her husband, Tim of Manheim, Pa.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
   A memorial service and burial will be held at the Seaville Friends Meeting in Seaville at a future date.

Jaroslaw M. Jamrozinski
   
TRENTON — Jaroslaw Maksymilian Jamrozinski died Sunday at the Capital Health System at Fuld from injuries sustained at his residence. He was 28.
   Born in Lask, Poland, Mr. Jamrozinski emigrated to the United States in 2001 and lived in Trenton.
   He was employed as a roofer.
   He is survived by his parents, Wieslaw and Danuta Kodzis Jamrozinski of Trenton; his brother, Kamil Jamrozinski of Trenton; his maternal grandmother, Wiktoria Kodzis of Lask, Poland; three aunts and uncles Jola and Boguslaw Nowosielski of Canada, Mira and Jurek Szubert, and Krystyna and Wlodek Bald all of Lawrence, and cousins Robert and Adam Nowosielski, Marta and Piotr Szubert, Ania and Adam Narkiewicz.
   Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated today at 11:35 a.m. in St. Hedwig’s Church.
   Burial will be private.
Anthony R. Cocco
   
TRENTON — Anthony R. "Tony" Cocco died April 4 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton. He was 81.
   Born in Italy and raised in Philadelphia, he spent most of his adult life in the Trenton area. He was a boxer with 92 professional fights. He graduated from South Philadelphia High School for Boys and received certificates in the orthotic and prosthetic program at University of California at Los Angles and New York University.
   As a U.S. Army sergeant, he served at Percy Jones General Hospital in Fort Custer, Michigan as head of the Orthotic and Prosthetic Department. He was one of the founding partners of Cocco Brothers in Philadelphia and president and CEO of John R. Cocco Inc. in Trenton.
   Mr. Cocco was a chartered member of the American Orthotic and Prosthetic Association. He served as past president of AOPA and examiner for Certifications of Practitioners in the field of orthotics and prosthetics.
   Son of the late Nicholas Cocco and Giacenta DeCamillo, brother of the late John, Remo and Frank Cocco and father of the late Joan Cocco, he is survived by his former wife, Margaret J. Frederico of Lawrence; his daughters, Cynthia and husband Anthony Minelli of Hamilton, Carol Ann and husband Glen Honcharik of Hillsborough and Lissa Marie and husband Tamas Foltiny of Lawrence; and his grandchildren, Erin and Ryan Minelli, Curt and Kyle Honcharik, and Allison and Brett Foltiny.
   Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday at Our Lady of the Angels Parish-St. Joachim Church, Trenton.
   Entombment was in St. Mary’s Mausoleum, Hamilton.

Libert Pinelli
   
Libert Pinelli died April 6 at Princeton Care Center. He was 80.
   A Princeton area resident his entire life, he attended Princeton public schools.
   He was a retired landscape gardener, associated with his father, Henry Pinelli, in Princeton.
   A gifted athlete, he enjoyed many sports, especially baseball.
   An Army staff sergeant during World War II, he served in four major campaigns in the Battle of the Bulge as a light machine gun squad leader. Among his awards were the Combat Infantry Badge and the Bronze Star.
   Son of the late Jennie and Henry Pinelli, he is survived by his sister, Mary C. Pirone of Princeton; brothers and sister-in-law John Pinelli of Montgomery, Alexander Pinelli of Hopewell Borough and Raymond and Josephine Pinelli of Lawrence; and many nieces and nephews.
   The funeral was Monday at Kimble Funeral Home, Princeton.
Raffaele Carnevale
   
PRINCETON — Raffaele Carnevale died Monday at University Medical Center at Princeton. He was 76.
   Born in Isernia, Italy, Mr. Carnevale came to the United States in 1956 and moved to Princeton.
   He retired after many years as a mason with Union Local No. 5 in Edison.
   He was a member of St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church.
   Son of the late Pasquale and Giuseppina Perna Carnevale, he is survived by his wife, Livia DiCreddo Carnevale; son Ralph Carnevale of Birmingham, Mich.; daughters and sons-in-law Jo and Mark Emann of Lawrence and Lisa and Jack Lyle of Princeton; brother and sister-in-law Assuntina and Luigi Azzolini of Isernia, Italy; grandchildren Jenna, Kelsey and John Ryan Lyle, Jessica Emann and Andrew Carnevale; and several nieces and nephews in Italy.
   The funeral was Saturday at Mather-Hodge Funeral Home, 40 Vandeventer Ave., Princeton.
   Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Saturday at St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church, 214 Nassau St., Princeton.
   Burial was in Princeton Cemetery.

Thomas Riti
   
STOCKTON — Thomas Riti died April 1 at the St. Francis Hospital in Trenton. He was 83.
   Born in Hamburg, N.Y., he had lived in Paterson and Lawrence before moving to Stockton in 1975. He was the director of public welfare for the State of New Jersey before his retirement.
   Mr. Riti was a breeder of Airedale terrier show dogs.
   Mr. Riti was a World War II U.S. Army Air Corps captain and pilot of B-29 airplanes.
   Predeceased by his wife, Helen Dwyer Riti, he is survived by a son Thomas Riti of Stockton; a daughter Kathy Hof of Las Vegas; a brother, Frank Riti of Florida; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
   The funeral was April 5 at the Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown.

John Francis Martin
   
HAMILTON — John Francis Martin died March 30 at his residence. He was 78.
   Born in New York, he was a resident of Hamilton for many years.
   Mr. Martin was a retired salesman from the News World in Trenton. He also served in the U.S. Army during World War II and the Korean War.
   His many survivors include a brother and sister-in-law, Francis and Joan Martin of Lawrence.
   The funeral was April 4 from the Kingston & Kemp Funeral Home, Hamilton.
   Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at the Holy Angels Church, Hamilton.
   Burial was in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery.
