MONROE Polling places for school elections will be open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, when voters will decide on the $79.59 million budget, a second question of $1.995 million and three Board of Education seats.
The second question calls for $1.995 million to rent, staff and supply 19 trailers 12 for Barclay Brook and Brookside schools, eight for Applegarth Middle School and four for the high school. This also comes with a 2.95-cent tax rate increase.
Eight candidates are running for three, three-year terms on the Board of Education. Incumbents Marvin Braverman, John Leary and Harold Pollack are facing off against challengers Brian Hackett, Gerald Krzyzkowski, Rita Ostrager, Ira Tessler and Linda Torres.

Ward 1, Districts 1, 11 and 12: Applegarth Middle School, 227 Applegarth Road.
Ward 1, Districts 2, 3, 4 and 5: Rossmoor Clubhouse, Rossmoor Drive.
Ward 1, Districts 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10: Clearbrook Cultural Center, Ardmore and Halsey roads.
Ward 1, District 13: The Ponds Club, 100 Waterside Blvd.
Ward 2, District 1; Ward 3, Districts 4 and 9: Woodland School, 42 Harrison Ave.
Ward 2, District 2; Ward 3, Districts 6 and 8: Brookside School, 370 Buckelew Ave.
Ward 2, Districts 3, 9, 11 and 12: Whittingham Towne Center, 100 Whittingham Drive.
Ward 2, District 4: Monroe Township Library, 4 Municipal Plaza.
Ward 2, Districts 5, 6, 7 and 8: Concordia Clubhouse, 1 Clubhouse Drive.
Ward 2, District 10: Applegarth Firehouse, 130 Applegarth Road.
Ward 3, Districts 1 and 3: Monroe First Aid Building, 47 Monmouth Road.
