Former President Clinton to keynote university’s Class Day in June

Former President Bill Clinton will deliver the keynote address at Princeton University’s Class Day ceremony on June 5, the university announced Monday.
Leaders of the senior class selected President Clinton from among numerous nominees suggested by classmates.
"The Class of 2006 has chosen President Clinton to be this year’s Class Day speaker because of his extensive career in public service," wrote class President Chris Lloyd, in an e-mail to seniors. "These experiences along with his perspectives as a parent will surely inspire our class and family members as we gather together to celebrate our Princeton experiences."
Class Day, which takes place the day before Princeton’s Commencement, is being organized by members of the graduating class including chairs Lauren Bush, Shaun Callaghan and Harrison Frist. Ms. Bush is a niece of Republican President George W. Bush and Mr. Frist is son of the Senate majority leader, Republican Bill Frist of Tennessee.
In addition to President Clinton’s address, the ceremony will include student remarks, the induction of honorary class members and other special recognitions.
The Class Day ceremony is scheduled to be held on Cannon Green, weather permitting, at 10:30 a.m. It is a ticketed event for seniors and their invited guests only.
