Farmed in West Windsor
EAST WINDSOR Donald Coleman Perrine died Friday at home. He was 75.
Born in Princeton, he grew up in West Windsor, where he was a longtime resident. He was a lifelong resident of Mercer County.
Mr. Perrine farmed in West Windsor and later pursued a career in real estate, which he continued until his death.
He was a member of the West Windsor Board of Education during the 1960s and was also a member of the West Windsor Planning Board.
He was founding chairman of the board of the West Windsor State Bank.
Mr. Perrine was a longtime member of the West Windsor Lions Club and the American Business Club.
He was a 1947 graduate of Princeton High School, an Air Force veteran of the Korean War and member of American Legion Post 148.
He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Dutch Neck, where he served as deacon in the 1960s.
Mr. Perrine was an avid sportsman and golfer, and enjoyed cooking and serving meals to his friends.
Son of the late Alfred R. and Margaret Coleman Perrine, brother of the late Stanley and Alfred Perrine and father of the late Donald C. Perrine, he is survived by his daughter, Patricia Perrine; son and daughter-in-law William and Kimberly Perrine; grandchildren Kirsten, Jake and Delanie; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at the First Presbyterian Church of Dutch Neck, 154 South Mill Road, West Windsor, with the Rev. Dr. Floyd W. Churn officiating.
Interment will follow in the First Presbyterian Church of Dutch Neck Cemetery, West Windsor.
Calling hours are 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today at A.S. Cole Funeral Home, 22 North Main St., Cranbury.
