Felicia E. Gonzalez, D.O., has announced the opening of a private medical practice specializing in internal medicine, adult and primary care. The new office is on Commons Way in Toms River. Prior to opening her practice, Gonzalez was with Ocean County Internal Medi-cine Associates, Lakewood, for five years and with Drs. Joel Jannone and Dennis Novak of Forked River for several years.
Patricia Gaughran, Tinton Falls, has joined the clinical staff at AcuteCare Health System (ACHS), Lakewood, as a case manager. She will be responsible for preparing patients and families for the transition from admission to the facility located at Kimball Medical Center. She will also collaborate with health care team members in delivery of patient care and work with outside service agencies in the continuity of care after hospi-talization. ACHS operates two 25-bed acute care hospitals, at Kimball and at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch.
Amy L. Bennecoff, a resident of Bensalem, Pa., recently joined the Lake-wood law practice of attorney Samuel Brown as an associate. Bennecoff will focus her practice on litigation, business matters, bankruptcy, estate matters and real estate. Prior to joining attorney Sam Brown at Samuel Brown P.C., Bennecoff was an associate at Michael P. Morton, P.A., in Wilmington, Del. Bennecoff was admitted to the New Jersey State Bar in 2005 and to the U.S. District Court for New Jersey in 2006.
Jon H. Larson, president of Ocean County College, Toms River, has been selected to receive a Shirley B. Gordon Award of Distinction 2006 from Phi Theta Kappa, the international honors society of two-year colleges. Larson was nominated by OCC’s Phi Theta Kappa Tau Iota Chapter. This award is given to outstanding community college executive officers who have provided extensive support and a variety of resources for their colleges’ PTK chapters.
Catherine Farley has been promoted to vice president-trust officer of OceanFirst Bank’s Trust and Asset Management Department in Toms River. She will be responsible for managing new trust business for the department as well as closely working with the bank’s commercial lending department and licensed bank employees. She will continue to introduce the bank’s trust services to develop new business.
Farley currently serves as president of Ocean’s Harbor House Foundation Board and is a member of Ocean’s Harbor House Agency Board. She also is an active member of the Jersey Shore Council of Boy Scouts of America and the Estate and Financial Planning Council of Central New Jersey. Farley resides in Howell with her husband.
