Harold A. Meals

   Harold A. Meals, 87, died today (Wednesday) at his home in Ewing Township.
   Born in Clintonville, Venango County, Pa., and raised in Oil City, Pa., Mr. Meals lived in Ewing Township for the past 60 years.
   A 1936 graduate of Oil City High School, he was an active member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, Trenton, for 60 years and was a current member of the Board of Trustees along with other church related duties. He also was a member of E.C.H.O. and the National Association of Retired Federal Employees.
   He retired from the US Post Office in Robbinsville as superintendent of mail in 1980. He was a former member of the Trenton Elks #105.
   A US Army Veteran of World War II, he was stationed in the Aleutian Islands of Alaska before being discharged at Ft. Monroe. He continued in the US Army Reserves and retired as a decorated major in 1961.
   Son of the late Earl H. and Alphene White Meals and husband of the late Ethel M. Meals, whom he married in 1944, Mr. Meals is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Marva and Norman Novitz of Titusville; a granddaughter and her husband, Devi and Greg LeClaire, also of Titusville; two sisters, Betty McLaughlin of Oil City, Pa., and Mary Jean Roberts of Aliquippa, Pa.; and several close nieces and nephews.
   Funeral services will be held April 29 at noon at St. Paul United Methodist Church, 503 W. State St., Trenton with the Rev. Jack Johnson pastor officiating.
   Entombment will be in the Ewing Cemetery Mausoleum.
   Friends may call Saturday from 11 a.m. until time of service at the church.
