EBPD Youth Services to offer ‘Straight Talk’

East Brunswick Police Department Youth Services will present a “Straight Talk” program from 7-9 p.m. on May 22 at the East Brunswick Public Library, Jean Walling Civic Center. The program will target juveniles ages 12-17 who are at risk for becoming involved in criminal or delinquent behavior.

Inmates from state correctional institutions will speak on the realities of prison life and the consequences of making decisions that lead to involvement in criminal activity. The inmates are participants in Project Pride.

All juveniles must be accompanied by an adult.

Sacred Heart HSA

to sponsor Tricky Tray

The Sacred Heart HSA will host its annual Tricky Tray beginning at 7:30 p.m. on May 5 in Sacred Heart Memorial Hall, Washington Avenue, South Amboy. Doors will open at 6 p.m.

The event will feature a cash bar and complimentary coffee, tea and baked goods. Participants may bring food items of their choice. No BYOB. A variety of small, medium and large prizes and baskets and two grand prizes will be awarded.

Tickets cost $10 and may be purchased in advance or at the door. Reservations are suggested.
